Here at Gamezebo, we've made no secret of our love for gamebooks. Whether it's the recent releases by Tin Man Games or something more akin to a visual novel like Cinders, we love a good story that we can play with. Looking back on a more personal note, I think my own love affair with gamebooks probably started in the same place yours did; reading the Choose Your Own Adventure series as a child.Eerie Estate Agent Preview

It's one thing to read a novel featuring a protagonist that suffers a dire fate. It's another thing entirely to push said protagonist down the stairs yourself. Choice of Games is a company that develops interactive fictions that put you in control of the action, and its latest offering across multiple platforms, Eerie Estate Agent, puts you in charge of selling a haunted house.Strange Loves: Vampire Boyfriends Review
"I'm a senior at a small Southern college and I never thought this would happen to me." Thus should begin Strange Loves: Vampire Boyfriends, the new interactive romance novel by Tin Man Games. This so-called send-up of the supernatural romance genre uses the choose-your-own-adventure model to confuse its audience and offer up an abundance of cliches, cheesy storylines and schlocky endings.Strange Loves: Vampire Boyfriends Preview

It's amazing the kinds of doors that the mobile and tablet markets have opened for gaming, perfect example being the influx of Choose Your Own Adventure-esque games we've seen in recent years. While the concept would have worked okay on a console or PC, it's on a touch screen interface that they truly shine. Case in point, Tin Man Games' Gamebook Adventures series. Having found success with the previous nine entries, the studio is looking to ascend to the double digits with Strange Loves: Vampire Boyfriends.Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 Review
By Jim Squires
I've never read 2000 A.D. The only Judge Dredd product I've ever even really experienced is that god-awful Stallone movie from the early 90's. Despite this, I already feel like I get the franchise. As a character, Judge Dredd feels as universally understood to me as Dracula or Batman - you don't need to have read their canon to know what they're all about. With this in mind, I feel pretty confident in saying that Countdown Sector 106 is exactly the sort of game that Judge Dredd fans will love.Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106 Preview

Gamebook Adventures, simply put, are the "Choose Your Own Adventure" of the modern era. But there's more to them than just making a choice and turning to this page or that; animations, music, character skills and even physics-based 3D virtual dice are all part of the action. Naturally, this sort of thing lends itself to all kinds of exciting stories, including, very soon, a tale of the infamous Judge Dredd.Cinders Review
For some time now, the makers of mass market entertainment have been rediscovering fairytales, banking on these stories' perennial appeal to make imaginative new TV shows, movies, games and novels. This month, casual game developer MoaCube brings us Cinders, a stylish role-playing-game/interactive novel based on the original Cinderella story. While thus far, interactive novels have been more popular in Japan than the U.S., once American audiences get a load of titles like Cinders, that audience is bound to grow. The 39 Steps Preview
There were two major things to take out of the recent art title, Dear Esther. One, videogames can be a great way to tell a traditional story, even with just a little bit of interactivity. Two, European voiceovers are the best. With The Story Mechanics' and Lance Mamba Global's adaptation of the literary classic,The Thirty-Nine Steps, you can have the best of both worlds.
