The downside: you'll probably end up selling all of your possessions outside of your computer.     Have you ever seen a game on Steam and thought to yourself, "wow! This looks terrible! I never would have let this on here?" Or for that matter heard about a developer whose title was rejected from Valve's popular download service, all the while knowing it deserved a chance? Well, you big know-it-all, soon you'll be able to do something about it. Also, I apologize for calling you a know-it-all.

    I don't always agree with everything that goes on here at Gamezebo. Take, for example, our official review of Hero Academy. My opinion falls more closer to the user reviews, which gave it a glowing 4.75. Whether it's Robot Entertainment's excellent approach to freemium, the genius of its five-move-at-a-time asynchronous play, or the lovingly crafted fantasy teams, I don't think I could like the game any more than I do. Or at least I didn't until today.

    As part of their ongoing plan to make other developers look terrible, Valve released another free downloadable update today for Portal 2 - a game we dubbed "quite possibly the greatest first-person puzzler ever." Styled as the "Perpetual Testing Initiative" and available on Steam to begin with, the DLC gives fans something they've long pined for. And no, we don't mean real portal guns unfortunately.

    When you're the CEO to the world's largest company, people tend to take notice at every action you make. So when Apple's CEO Tim Cook was reportedly spotted at game software giant Valve's main offices this Friday, rumors began to fly. The largest amongst them, according to Cult of Mac, is the possibility that Apple is working on a home videogame console. While these kinds of rumors pass by all the time, Tim Cook's meeting with Valve makes this story much more interesting.

    The answer is not, according to an interview by Kotaku with Doug Lombardi of Valve. Earlier this week, we reported the rumor that Valve which runs Steam, among the largest digital distribution platforms for games on the PC and Mac, was working on the "Steam Box."Valve is working with different types of hardware as cited in the original speculative article by The Verve. But, it's to test its upcoming feature, Steam Big Picture Mode UI, not to build a console to compete with Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo.

    It's no secret that being the head-honcho at a major video games company can make you a very wealthy person. We already know that Cliff Bleszinski owns at least one Lamborghini, and we imagine big-shots like Shigeru Miyamoto and Ken Levine are doing just fine too. Still, those guys may be mere peasants when it comes to Valve's Game Newell, who Forbes magazine has just ranked as the 854th richest person on the planet.
