    Good Old Games now supports Mac OS X

    Those old school game enthusiasts at Good Old Games have gone and made 50 titles in their catalog playable on Mac OS X. This marks only the beginning of The Great Apple Initiative (a title I just made up) for the platform, and users can expect to see even more games available for Mac moving forward. I applaud their drive, as I personally would have just ported over The Feeble Files and called it a day.

    It's pretty uncanny how the classic adventure game genre went from dead to thriving in a matter of months. Starting off the success of DoubleFine's promise to bring back classic adventures with Double Fine Adventure (and grabbing nearly $3.5 million dollars in fan funding), old and beloved developers are rushing back to their computers with the realization that Kickstarter gives them a chance to design again. Joining this increasing pool of classic talent is Chris Jones and the Tex Murphy series.
