Battalion Nemesisis a great real-time strategy game on the web, a title that was designed as a homage to the Advance Wars series of games that is also strong enough to stand on its own. The best part, though, was that it was only the first part of a trilogy of games UrbanSquall is working on. Now, we have the second chapter to the series: Battalion: Ghosts. Fans will be relieved to hear that it's not only as good as the first game, but it also has a number of upgrades incorporated into it.
Habitat Rescue: Lion's Pride is a sim reminiscent of Virtual Villagers in that it gives you control over a group of roving characters—here, members of a lion tribe with a name of your choosing—to whom you delegate specific responsibilities. It sets off on the right foot, but ultimately proves to be an unsatisfying experience.
Asguaard is a throwback to the 16-bit days of console gaming, evoking classics like Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger with its sprite-based graphics and turn-based RPG battles. As a game for fans, Asguaard offers players an intriguingly self-aware plot that takes place in a memorable world that's stuffed full of secrets to uncover. A terrible winter creeps over the world of Asguaard after some unknown power opened the Pandora Box, threatening the dwarves and fairies with annihilation if the legendary humans they've summoned from another world cannot save them.
Settlement: Colossus takes the hidden object genre and fuses it with a strategy game to create something wholly unique in the space. Instead of finding random objects, your tasked with collecting resources that are necessary for survival, which makes the whole experience much more engaging. Unfortunately, it also adds a layer of unnecessary repetition that will cause some frustration in an otherwise excellent game.
Cateia Games' Shaman Odyssey is the latest tropical island-themed building/sim game where you're tasked with shepherding a tribe of villagers through various challenges and dangers on a quest to reach their "true home." While the game boasts some unique graphical tricks, the wholly unoriginal premise and lacklustre gameplay is a bit of a disappointment. The game begins when the tribe's young Shaman (you, the player), is visited by an ancestral spirit who urges him to reunite the tribe - whose people have been scattered throughout many different islands - and lead them to a permanent and safe home.
Welcome to Gamezebo's strategy guide for Shaman's Odyssey. You need to help the Shaman unite his tribe, which is scattered across a series of islands. For each level you're taken to a new island where you have to complete a list of quests that involve building structures, collecting resources and increasing the population. Resources and Building There are 4 types of resources to collect: wood, stone, food and shells. Some resources are scattered around the island at the start ...
We recently got our hands on Playrix Entertainment's upcoming building sim Royal Envoy (formerly known in beta as Fortune Architect), and we liked what saw. Keep reading for our first impressions of the game, which is scheduled to launch next month. The game begins after a terrible crisis has befallen the residents of Islandshire: their houses have been washed away in a particularly nasty downpour of rain - and the really bad news is that it's not even the full-on rainy season yet. The king sends you as his Royal Envoy to Islandshire to help each town rebuild and prepare for the rainy season. Your guide on the journey is the fussy wig-wearing Cedric.
