Legacy of Rome may have just been released by innoWate and 6Waves, but its impressive graphics and lack of new-game bugs make it look like a game that's been out for months. For Julius Caesar, conquering half of Europe and creating the Roman Empire has made him weary. He has appointed you, his potential successor, to build Germania into a prosperous region for the Roman Empire. If you prove yourself, the empire is yours.
Verdonia looks suspicious different from most of the games that Playdom publishes. It looks suspiciously different from most of the other major games on the Facebook platform, with perhaps the exception of Kingdoms of Camelot. Verdonia is a deep, complicated grand strategy game that demands real patience from a player. The graphics hearken back to turn-of-the-century PC games, with quasi-realistic little sprites representing your town and the fields surrounding it.
Though it's perhaps unoriginal at times, at the very least Future Wars has a very clear vision as to what it aspires to be. It's a simple game about a young cadet at a military academy training in the art of futuristic military warfare. The story is as much Ender's Game with its premise as it is Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with its brand of relatively low-brow humor.

Gangsta Zombies is a tongue-in-cheek game that blends zombie culture with Mafia-Wars-style missions and game dynamics. It's mix of familiar game play with the zombie mythos creates a game worth your time, especially if you've got a hunger for brains.
Last Day of Work and 3 Blokes Studios have just released a new Facebook version of their long-running Virtual Villagers casual strategy games. Derivative franchises like My Tribe have already gotten their games launched on Facebook, but Virtual Villagers may prove to be worth the wait. It plays very differently than most prior attempts at casual strategy on Facebook, working in a Zynga-style energy meter that gives structure to the gameplay.
With the success of the hit television show, The Office, and the millions playing games working in an office, Broken Bulb Studios has come to the table with another office related fix in gaming form: Office Wars.
Playdom is expanding its sprawling line of social games with a new title, Market Street, that lets you run your own department store. The game mechanics are quite similar to fashion games like Retail Therapy and Mall World, but Market Street is a more gender-neutral game that lets you sell clothes, hardware, electronics, or an eclectic mix of all three.
