Google's Chrome web store is becoming an increasingly prominent game platform, and now Spacetime Studios, the developer behind mobile online role playing games Pocket Legends and Star Legends, has announced that both games are now playable through Google's browser.
For whatever reason, despite everything else today's Android phones can do, I'm still impressed when I see 3D models and worlds in a game that I'm playing on my phone. It's just one of those things that makes me remember that living in the future is awesome. Now you're telling me that I can have a spiritual kin to Phantasy Star Online in my pocket at all times? OK. I'm just going to start throwing money at you until you give me this game. Hold up, Star Legends is Free-To-Play? Quick, somebody pinch me.
When we first reported on Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles back in March, it was then going by the much easier to type title of Blackstar. New moniker asides, we're delighted to report that Star Legends seems to be moving from production phase to deployment, as the game has recently become available on Android - though admittedly in beta form.
