Pinball Gold Pack Review
You can be sure that, when English rock band The Who sang about a Pinball Wizard, they definitely were not talking about any of the Gamezebo staff. That's not to say our lack of talent when behind the flippers stops us from firing off a ball or two every now and again, however, and recent retro release Pinball Gold Pack threatened to envelop all of our free time.
iStunt 2 Review
Speaking from experience, there's a pretty steep learning curve when it comes to snowboarding. The first few days are painful, full of bruises, sore muscles, and (often) a broken bone or two. Basically, there's a lot of falling down involved. However, falling down on a snowboard can sometimes be fun, as is the case with iStunt 2.
Sega Play! Baseball Review
Sports games are continuing to make their way to Facebook, but up until recently there hasn't been much for baseball fans to get excited about. Sega Play! Baseball fills this void with a decidedly casual experience, that seems designed to appeal to those aren't fans of the sport as well. It may be a little too casual, with not enough focus on the actual game of baseball, but Sega Play! Baseball is still a fun experience overall.
Fight Night Champion Review
For years, boxing video games were marked by the occasional mediocre release and a panged longing for the days of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Then EA returned pride to the gaming world with the debut of Fight Night in 2004, a boxing simulation that showed gamers the sweet science could be about far more than button mashing. Now, 7 years and 5 games later, Fight Night has made its way to the iPhone.
NBA Legend Review
Slowly but surely all of the major professional sports are making their way to Facebook, and this time it's basketball's turn. Like its contemporaries, NBA Legend isn't so much about playing the sport as managing a team. You can control your favorite squad and guide them through a season and the playoffs, while at the same time you get to create and manage your very own avatar. While it's lacking the fast-paced action that makes the sport so exciting, NBA Legend is still a great way to get your b-ball fix.
NBA JAM Review
As a child of the arcade scene, I have much more than a passing familiarity with the NBA Jam franchise. Heavily steeped in lore and nostalgia, one could say I loved playing that game 25 cents at a time. Suffice to say I'm not one to tolerate a game showing up on my iPhone that's NBA Jam in name only and little else. Luckily, EA has surpassed the high bar I personally set for this title, delivering the real deal experience to my handheld.
UFC Undisputed Fight Nation Review
UFC Undisputed Fight Nation certainly isn't the most original game on Facebook, but its high production values and focus on fighting are what manage to keep it from being knocked out.
Football Life Review
Football Life is a lot like a much cuter version of EA Sports FIFA Superstars. You'll build up a team and enter into tournaments, training along the way, and moving from the junior leagues all the way up to the pros. The big difference here is that, in addition to managing a team, you also get to shape and mold a specific player, and that helps make up for the lack of real world players.
