Wipeout for iOS is based on a game show that airs on ABC. If you don't watch the show because all your TV time goes to doing heroic deeds and helping grandmothers cross the street (you liar), all you really need to know is that contestants run across crazy obstacle courses. When they inevitably get knocked off, they wind up in the drink. It's all in the name of goofy fun, a credo that likewise describes the Wipeout game.

Mad Skills BMX, the companion to Turboilla's Mad Skills Motocross, does a very accurate job of emulating the feel of a pro bmx racer. And it isn't always a good thing.

Swedish developer Turborilla is working on Mad Skills BMX, an iOS follow-up to the pretty excellent Mad Skills Motocross. That should be enough to get your attention, but here's something a little more: The studio put together an animated trailer for the game that looks like a grungy but compelling cross between Beavis & Butthead and Rugrats. Oh, and the game looks pretty awesome, too.

Games that try to be all things for all people naturally make us a little skeptical. So if I said that there's a mobile baseball game for iOS and Android devices that blends simulation, action and fantasy sports together, I wouldn't blame you for giving a Dwayne Johnson-esque raised eyebrow in response. The thing is, 9 Innings Pro Baseball 2013 blends all of these elements of the diamond together into a pretty satisfying whole.

That's the excitement that Running Fever tries to tap into. This fresh Facebook title is an up-and-comer in social network games. But does the game come clean off the blocks or is it a false start?
