While at its core Auto Hustle is a straight conversion of Grand Theft Auto for Facebook, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Get this: You are a criminal, and you don't care too much for anyone else but you. Armed with an apartment, jobs, and a few guns, you can go out and conquer the city as you see fit.
Order & Chaos Online is an iPhone game developed by Gameloft that lets go on a grand adventure across a fantasy realm, making friends and fighting enemies along the way. A lot of genres have managed to find a perfect home on the App Store, but the MMORPG hasn't been one of them. Despite numerous attempts, it's just a genre that hasn't really gained the traction everyone hoped it would. Sure Pocket Legends has a devoted following, and a number of freemium games have MMO elements, but we haven't really had a giant, PC-quality, breakout hit yet. Gameloft is looking to change that with their upcoming Order & Chaos Online.
Third Blade is deeply, absurdly addictive in the way all good mobile games should be - it'll keep you up long after you've told yourself to put it down. There's just something satisfying about it. From the gorgeous, hand-drawn visuals right down to the way you feel when the weapon you've been saving up for all this time cuts through enemies like a hot knife through butter, Third Blade has it all. Well, almost.
Hikaru is having a bad day. When she woke up this morning, she was a mystical princess who lived in a fantastic castle. By dinner-time, though, she was homeless, fatherless, and suffering from a serious case of revenge. Needless to say, Samurai Girl starts out pretty intense and doesn't let up.
Facebook is becoming an increasingly popular platform for massively multiplayer role playing games (MMORPGs), particularly 2D games like Sacred Seasons 2 that aren't graphics-intensive. Sacred Seasons 2 is a full-featured, but otherwise perfectly standard, MMORPG that offers virtually every option you could want. The worst to be said about it is that the gameplay is a bit stale and the interface is not very user-friendly. But you do get to explore a bit more freely in Sacred Seasons 2 than you do in most MMORPGs on Facebook, as the game's quests aren't at all linear.
Fate: The Cursed King is the latest addition to WildTangent's Fate series of dungeon-spelunking role-playing games that combine a core gaming aesthetic with a more casual and accessible style of play. It adds new weapons and monsters to the franchise, new character races and quest types, and some very cool Facebook integration, but it also brings bugs and a frustrating lack of polish that adds a sour taste to an otherwise enjoyable experience.
Geo Hunters is jam-packed with features, but somehow still manages to feel lacking. It's part role playing game and part social game, with monster collecting and geo-location. But none of the elements work all that well and together they create a game that's confusing and often boring.
