While a catchy title, I can't help but feel Pocket RPG is something of a misnomer. Since the game is (at least at launch) available exclusively on the iPad, it doesn't really fit in your pocket. Likewise, it's not really an RPG by any conventional standards - unless you'd consider game's like Diablo and Torchlight RPG's, which arguably, you might. What Pocket RPG is happens to be something much larger and more action-packed than its catchy title might suggest, and I can't help but feel that's a good thing.
Fated Haven: Chapter One emphasizes over and over again during its tutorial that it's not like most other RPGs and players need to be careful. These instructions are ultimately quite confusing, because if you've ever played an indy RPG developed in RPG Maker XP, you've already played Fated Haven. Everything from its visuals to its gameplay and basic storyline are extremely derivative. That's not to say Fated Haven isn't any fun at all, it's just fun in a way that evokes fond nostalgia for a very specific period from gaming history.
Welcome to the Magical Diary walkthrough on Gamezebo. Magical Diary is a sim game played on PC, Mac and Linux and created by Hanako Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide on how to complete Magical Diary.
Samurai Dynasty is a Travian-like game, like most strategy games on Facebook. As you might guess from the name, it introduces a medieval Japanese theme as a way of distinguishing it from the countless other medieval Europe-themed games in this genre. Samurai Dynasty also uses a more graphically rich interface than is typical for this sort of strategy game, including a play avatar and plenty of useful sidebars in addition to the typical icon animations. In Samurai Dynasty your goal is to develop and defend a thriving city, then build new expansion cities to increase your empire. You can develop up to eight cities.
I honestly did not expect to have this much fun with Magical Diary. I really didn't. A trite formula spun onto its head, Magical Diary will have players stepping into the shoes of a young girl who has only recently realized her own aptitude for magic. For those of you wondering if this eventually comes to involve suspiciously familiar schools, cat boys, vampires, demons and a variety of high school hijinks, I can tell you this: It does.
Long before the rise of gaming on Facebook, MapleStory proved that players would flock to a game they could play for free and support with optional purchases if they felt like it. MapleStory Adventures brings the original MapleStory's look and feel to Facebook with redesigned gameplay and an emphasis on social, rather than MMO, features. You begin as a level one n00b warrior or wizard and then begin punching monsters to level up, gathering up collectibles, and hiring friends to fight with you when you need a little help taking on the next boss.
Battlepath Monsters is an iPhone game developed by Spacegum Pty that puts you in the role of a powerful warrior out to slay lots and lots of monsters. Gamezebo's Battlepath Monsters strategy guide and walkthrough will provide you with a quick start guide, tips and tricks, hints and cheats to help you collect every animal there is.
Battlepath Monsters is a basic role-playing game with some simple location-based features. These don't actually do anything to affect the gameplay, however, and instead are simply things that might make you say "oh, neat," before you forget about them. The rest is as straightforward an RPG as you're likely to find, with plenty of monsters to battle and weapons to outfit your adventurer with. It works well enough, but for those who like RPGs, it will also leave you wishing for a deeper experience.
