Growing up, one of the games I played to death in elementary school was The Incredible Machine. Don't ask me why my school thought it was educational; I spent most of my time blowing up little men with nitroglycerine. But speaking of not arresting me, I naturally glommed on to and became a huge fan of Casey's Contraptions as soon as I bought an iPad.
For those who can remember back to the long, long ago that is 1989, you might recall a game which went by the name of Skweek, and alternately Super Skweek, which was released for the Amiga, Atari Lynx, SEGA Game Gear, PC, PC Engine, Atari ST, and the Amstrad CPC. Now, over two decades later, Skweek is making a new bid for the spotlight on iOS.
It takes a real optimist to approach any sort of media tie-in game with no hesitation. While we've been treated to plenty of good ones in the past, the lazy, uninspired ones outweigh them quite a bit. As such, I wasn't completely sure what to expect out of Where's My Perry?, a reworking of the original Where's My Water? But I went into it with an open mind, and ended up completely happy with how much was added and changed.
Welcome to the Night in the Opera walkthrough on Gamezebo. Night in the Opera is a combination Match-3 and Adventure Game created by Angler Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints and a strategy guide that will help you make it through your very own... Night in the Opera.
Night in the Opera places you in the role of a faceless detective, called into an Opera house after one of the traveling opera singers is murdered in her quarters. You'll be asked to investigate the dressing rooms of the deceased and her fellow opera singers, but calling Night in the Opera a hidden object or even an adventure game would be giving the title too much credit. Ultimately, this is an odd mix between match-three levels and the far too rare hidden object scene that is flawed right from the start.
They're back. The king of social gaming's bringing us another "…with Friends" title, and assuming you have lots of friends, Zynga's latest is sure to keep you even more glued to your iPhone than you already are. You'll also, y'know, help Zynga take over the world.
The Curse, which is coming soon for iOS and Android, is a game that challenges you to seal away the ancient, ethereal mischief-maker known only as "The Mannequin." The Mannequin likes to relax on old-timey chairs and listen to old-timey music while he dangles his face/mask on one finger. There's only one way to put away a smooth threat like that: puzzles, and lots of them. The Curse tasks you with solving dozens of cerebral challenges, each of which will eventually help put The Mannequin back here he belongs.
I had a bone to pick with the developers of Rubber Tacos. I calmly walked up to their section of the Zynga Unleashed event, practicing the words in my head: "A taco made of rubber sounds disgusting, and you're all bad people." As I drew closer, I noticed a screen looping the trailer, showing the antics of a cute little animated Luchador family. It was at that exact moment my heart grew two sizes.
