Majestic Forest Review
By David Stone
A Crumb by any other name would play as sweet - or at least that's what publisher Merscom would like you to think with Majestic Forest. A re-engineering of the puzzle game Crumb from 2008, Majestic Forest shares much of the original title, but has a few important changes. For those who never played the original, Majestic Forest has you selecting one of several fantasy-based avatars to travel through the forest, looking for your Forest Mother who has taken care of you since you were abandoned in the forest at birth. You'll travel across 60 levels looking for her throughout the four seasons.Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island Review
Had enough of hidden object games? Had your fill of match-3 puzzlers? Need a break from time management simulations? Casual gamers in search of a different kind of head-scratcher might opt for Midnight Synergy's Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island. While not a flawless frolic, this cartoon adventure offers a fresh dose of puzzles compared to what's available today.Boonka Tips Walkthrough
By David Stone
Check out our tips and tricks for Boonka. GENERAL TIPS The goal of Boonka is not horizontal removal, but vertical. As long at you remember that, you'll get a good grip on the basic mechanics Boonkas can be dragged in any direction, and don't necessarily have to link with another in order for a move to be completed. Initial links can only happen horizontally. Only once an initial two-block link is formed can you start to build on it. If when you drag a piece you start to make links t...Clueless Review
By Erin Bell
Based on the 1990s movie and TV show spin-off of the same name, Clueless follows the exploits of a group of ditzy and materialistic Beverly Hills high school girls as they shop for the perfect outfits to attract boys. At the start I was less than impressed with the game's stereotyping, until I realized that the game is in on the joke too, and the girls' over-the-top shallowness is meant to poke fun at the "valley girl" image - which Clueless does with often humorous results.Boonka Review
By David Stone
In this time of heightened environmental awareness, it's surprising that more game companies aren't looking at saving the earth as a central theme. Boonka, from Raptisoft and Sandlot Games, takes the idea of rebuilding forests and crafts a deep match-three game on top, with some surprising (and sometimes downright odd) results.Dreamsdwell Stories Review
By David Stone
For a puzzle game to really succeed, it either has to be so simple it's sublime (see Bejeweled or Tetris) or loaded with depth (Jewel Quest, Ancient Quest of Saqqarah). Anything in between, and things get a little murky. The awkwardly-titled Dreamsdwell Stories, unfortunately, falls into that middle ground. The premise is quite sound. Make chains of same-colored spheres three or longer to make them disappear. When they're connected they form a beam of light that cannot be crossed, so your lines have to be continuous. Clear all gold-rimmed spheres to end a level before the timer runs out to pass.Fairy Island Review
In Fairy Island, pirates capture fairy friends and imprison them inside magical diamond stones known as tokens.Your job is to track down the pirates around Fairy Island to free the fairies in this match-three adventure that has four play modes and three game modes. Each play mode is a different variation of match-three, which keeps things fresh and alluring.Story Mode, of course, tells the story of your adventure and comes with two mini-games to uncover the island's secrets. Upon first play, only Normal play mode is unlocked with the others coming later. As you work your way around the island, you'll find pieces of the pirates' map to get you where you need to go.4 Elements Tips Walkthrough
4 Elements is a magical mix of match-3, hidden object and spot-the-difference. Your goal is to return peace and prosperity to the ancient kingdom where the magic of 4 Elements that kept it running for centuries has been corrupted by evil. You need to bring back the elements of earth, fire, air and water and save the kingdom by restoring four ancient books of magic. A special key to unlock each book will be revealed to you once you've completed the object hunt. To bring back the power of...
