Scribble Review
By Jim Squires
Creatures made from drippings of ink may be as adorable as can be, but that doesn't mean they're very bright. In Scribble you'll be responsible for the safety of group of ink blots, a family of cute little creations that just don't know how to stop walking. How do they expect you to protect these pen-dripped people from the predators and pitfalls that permeate the panorama? By scribbling, of course!Puzzlegeddon Review
By Jim Squires
Puzzling can be a tense enough affair on its own, but adding interstellar combat into the mix? That's a recipe for madness! Puzzlegeddon offers a fresh take on color-matching puzzle games while adding in a surprisingly tense and exciting element of combat. It's been awhile since we've seen an iPhone puzzler that really surprised us, and Puzzlegeddon did that in spades.Stackopolis Review
By Jim Squires
Finishing a construction job on a tight deadline can be a real challenge, but what if you had to assemble an entire building in seconds? That's the challenge presented by Stackopolis, the classic flash game of tile-based construction from Bloc Media. And while the art style borrow heavily from Habbo Hotel, don't expect any type of social interaction from this puzzling masterpiece. On the Stackopolis construction site, it's all hotel and no Habbo.Stuck Genie Review
By Lisa Cowdell
We have this little game we play at our house. My kids like to sneak up and surprise me with a "boo" or some other abrupt noise, just to see the look on my face. Apparently, my facial expressions are an endless source of humor for them. Of course, sometimes I return the favor - but they don't always laugh when I startle them. So, what has this got to do with Stuck Genie by Cobra Mobile (published by Warner Brothers). Well . . . it is one of those games that kind of sneaks up on you, and before you know it, "bam!" you're hooked (facial expression not included).TrafficCity Review
By Keith Andrew
Traffic signals one of the few things almost everyone inherently trusts, yet the pandemonium you could cause if you had them under your control is immense. TrafficCity, though handing you the keys to this asphalt-laden kingdom, expects you to be a little more responsible, however.Cradle of Rome 2 Preview
By Erin Bell
Awem Studio is hard at work creating Cradle of Rome 2, the sequel to the puzzle game Cradle of Rome, and gave us a sneak peek at some of the new features they're planning for the game, as well as Rome's new look. Adventure mode remains the game's main mode, offering more than 100 levels of match-3 gameplay and the opportunity to build the City of Rome by unlocking and constructing new buildings. The sequel introduces mini-games in the form of blueprints that must be assembled before new buildings can be purchased.Lucid Preview
By Jim Squires
Independent developer Mikko Miettinen has spent the last two years of his life devoted to a casual puzzle game that brings something unique to the falling block genre. With the release looming only weeks away, Gamezebo was given a hands-on sneak preview of the upcoming puzzler Lucid.Like many games of its kind, Lucid is about making blocks disappear. Rather than matching colors or swapping gems though, Lucid has you removing blocks by drawing an unbroken line across blocks of the same color that are touching each other. There can be as few as two blocks or more than a dozen. So long as they're the same color and touching, you can remove them by drawing an unbroken line.Geisha: The Secret Garden Preview
By Erin Bell
Geisha: The Secret Garden, the debut game from France's Casual Box Studio, is relaxing mixture of match-3 and mahjong where players will journey through the four seasons at the side of a beautiful geisha named Natsumi. Based on the hands-on time we spent with a demo of Geisha, the gameplay is certainly unique. The game board looks like a regular match-3 grid (think Bejeweled), but is populated with mahjong tiles. The goal is to match three or more of these mahjong tiles by dragging tiles horizontally until three or more of the same type are side by side, which causes them to disappear.
