World Riddles: Seven Wonders Review
By Mike Rose
If you've been meaning to check out the puzzle game Picross for a while, then here is an excellent place to start. World Riddles: Seven Wonders eases players into the grid-clicking action with a steady difficulty curve, various other minigames to break up the action, and smooth polished gameplay. Certain elements can be a little dull, but overall there's plenty here to enjoy.Triptych Review
Several years ago Chronic Logic decided to test the waters of the puzzle genre with a falling-blocks title that's both familiar and unique at the same time. Think of Jell-O in outer space and you'll have just that: a game of colorful blocks that defies the laws of physics and takes you on a trip to the next Tetris-style experience. While connecting blocks is oftentimes an overused blast from the past, at least Triptych has a life of its own.Quell Review
By Jon Mundy
Proving the old adage that it's not what you do it's the way that you do it, Quell stands out from the reams of similar lateral thinking puzzle games on the App Store through some distinctive presentation. Rather than retro minimalism (been there), hand-drawn "Doodle" (done that), or cutesy anime (bought the T-shirt), Fallen Tree Games has gone with something a little more sober and mature.Droplitz Delight Review
Is it possible for a game to be too cute? If so, Droplitz Delight treads dangerously close to the line. It's bright, colorful, and features a soundtrack where smiling dots sing along. It's almost too much. But it's also a much more welcoming game when compared to the original Droplitz, combining a sugar sweet presentation with a fresh and addictive puzzle mechanic. The Undergrounder Preview
By Erin Bell
Lowpoly has launched the official website for its upcoming action/puzzler The Undergrounder, which is based on the idea that using underground mass transit in big cities - with its complex, intersecting routes, and various hazards and challenges - is just like playing a game. We also have some new screenshots and a video trailer to show off.Ring Theory Review
Match-3 games are a dime a dozen these days. This is probably true of any platform, but for the iPhone it's even more accurate. As such it can be really hard to find a way to stand out. Naturally it's still possible, but it just means you need to bring a super solid game to the table. Ring Theory is by no means a bad game, but it's not really good enough to set itself apart from other offerings.Piczle Lines Review
I'm having a real hard time settling in to write my review for Piczle Lines, it seems I just can't concentrate. But it's for a good reason, I promise! Seems every time I think about what I want to say about Piczle Lines, I just end up being drawn back to my iPod to play it some more. It's getting sort of out of hand. (1 hour later) Doh! Happened again!Prize-O-Rama Review
By Brock Cooper
Prize-O-Rama is a casino slot machine without the inevitable ache in your pocket book. Unfortunately, its presentation can be repetitive and the payout not very worthwhile.
