In Joining Hands you're in charge of the Peablins, who believe that as long as you're holding hands while walking through the Whispering Woods then the bogeyman can't get you. So it's up to you to make sure all the Peablins have a hand to hold to solve each level. Contrived? Sure, but it's a puzzle game, so I give them credit for injecting a story into it at all... and I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me smile when I first read it.
In Pudding Panic you're charged with protecting a blob of gelatin dessert in a ghost car riding along a track in a haunted house. You need to safely guide him through different rooms, scaring away bad guys and moving track interchanges around to move through each level. It's all very tongue in cheek, though I suppose that's obvious since you spend your time making sure a quivering pile of Jello makes it out alive.
If you prefer your puzzle games with a dash of stress and a pinch of mayhem then look no further than Magical Drop V, a fast-paced and skill-testing multiplayer puzzle game coming soon from UTV Ignition Games that promises to refresh a franchise that has been going strong for more than a decade.
Shape Shift is a matching game where you line up like colored objects on a grid to make them disappear and score points. What, you've heard this before? Wait! Come back! Sure, you'd be right thinking Shape Shift was kind of like Bejeweled - but you'd be totally wrong to write it off as just another Bejeweled clone. There are some real differences with other similar looking match-3 games, and in ways that makes it stand apart enough to truly make it worth your time.
The folks at Telltale games definitely know a thing or two about cliffhangers, and the one they left us with at the end of Puzzle Agent was a doozy. Unlike their other games, though, Puzzle Agent was never pitched as an episodic series. As such, we were a little worried that the crazy mystery of Scoggins Minnesota - the eraser capital of the world - might never get resolved. It looks like we can put that worry behind us now, as Agent Nelson Tethers of the US Department of Puzzle Research will be back and on the case in Puzzle Agent 2.
What pops into your mind when you think of fairies? Tinkerbell? Giggling, winged girls with wands? Sparkle-sneezing wood nymphs sitting on toadstools? In FairyCubes, 3-D puzzles are added to the list of all things pixie.

Feed Me Oil is kind of a weird title. On one hand, it's a goofy, fun little game that's got a lot of charm. On the other, a game about cleaning up an oil spill only a year after the Deepwater Horizon disaster seems like it borders on poor taste. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly enjoyable, but it's just a little weird to play through this kind of scenario.
