Monsters are infamous for having voracious appetites that cannot be sated, hence why they prowl the countryside and gobble up reams of sheep. Not little Om Nom, though. The star of the hugely popular Cut the Rope physics puzzler is content to nap in his box, surrounded by his stash of beloved hard candy.Sadly, when said stash gets stolen by spiders Om Nom's stubby little hand is forced, and he goes out into the wide world to take back what's rightfully his. Oh, Om Nom. Are we born monsters, or do we become monsters in order to survive life's cruelties?Cut the Rope 2 doesn't waste time with weighty philosophical questions. It simply wants to give you more good times with bits of candy swinging from the end of a rope. Thus, the premise for Cut the Rope 2 is identical to its predecessor: You "cut" ropes holding up candy in hopes that the tasty morsel will fall into Om Nom's waiting maw.
Rabbids Big Bang Review
The wall-eyed, buck-toothed Rabbids have had us doing silly things for years, and now these loony lapins have us hurling them through space. In Rabbids Big Bang, we take part in the Rabbids' very own space program (which consists mainly of trying to collect floating coins and bouncing off planets) and learn to use their proprietary methods for intergalactic travel. Although fun at first, in mastering the game's surprisingly challenging physics-based proceedings, too many similar missions make for quickly-developing monotony.As we all know, the Rabbids are doers, not thinkers. In Rabbids Big Bang, what they're doing is seeing how much adrenaline they can get out of flying around the Universe, powered by nothing more than a strapped-on soda bottle. There's no story to Big Bang, so don't look for one. You simply begin with two Rabbids standing on the surface of a planet, one wearing a jetpack and one holding a baseball bat. Around the planet float other planets, fuel bubbles, gold coins, UFOs, cows, and other weird and inappropriate things, and your goal is to land on, collect, or run into each of these.At the start of every mission, you tap and hold on a round aiming reticule that determines your jet-pack Rabbid's trajectory. Once you let this go, the Rabbid with the bat slugs the Rabbid with the jet-pack, sending him shooting into space. Tap-holding again activates the jet-pack, as long as there's fuel to be had in the on-screen fuel gauge, and allows the jet-pack Rabbid to keep traveling in whatever direction his head's pointing. It sounds simple, but it's extremely unwieldy at first. In fact, many players are likely to spend the first half hour watching in horror (or laughing diabolically) as their jet-pack Rabbid repeatedly slams head-first into its home planet.

Rovio has released Angry Birds Star Wars II for mobile phones and tablets. We all knew it was going to happen. It was as inexorable as the final struggle between Luke and Darth Vader. After all, Rovio's first attempt at fitting Jedi and Sith into suits made of feathers and pigskin proved extremely successful.So will you enjoy a second go-around with an Angry Birds/Star Wars hybrid? Yes, provided you meet two requirements: one, you're not thoroughly sick of Angry Birds; and two, you've not taken an oath to destroy everything that references the Star Wars prequels. Whereas the first Angry Birds Star Wars revolves around Episodes IV, V, and VI, Angry Birds Star Wars II plucks from Episodes I, II, and III. That means you'll be goofing off with the likes of Anakin Skywalker and Jar Jar Binks. Sorry.Don't let it get you down, though. True to Angry Birds tradition, none of the characters in Angry Birds Star Wars II actually talk. That alone puts the game miles above Episode I. When you get right down to it, Angry Birds Star Wars II dishes out tons of fun and humor.

There's always an alligator, there's always water, and there's always dirt separating the two. The infinite loop of Swampy's bath time in Where's My Water? was charming and challenging, generously packed with levels and updates that made its 99 cent price tag an absolute steal. Its first non-spin-off, direct sequel, Where's My Water? 2, has slashed that initial price down to nothing, but actually costs much more: players' time, trust, and patience have been sold down the freemium river.The good news: if you like any of Disney's Where's My games, there's plenty more to love here. Where's My Water? 2 plays out like all of its predecessors: swipe trenches in dirt to direct water to its destination. Along the way, you'll need to activate switches, avoid acid, collect duckies, and complete many other puzzle-based maneuvers. Swampy is still our primary water-target, waiting patiently for his bath to runneth over, but both Cranky and Allie have been upgraded from bonus level pack characters to main game integrations. Cranky's ducks and goal require acid instead of water, and Allie is still in need of steam to power her pipe organ. Their levels now appear alongside Swampy's, providing a refreshing change of pace for players who get bored with alligator monogamy.While playing with Cranky and Allie will be a new experience to players who dropped Where's My Water? before 2012, the basic puzzles in Where's My Water? 2 will not be. Very few changes have been introduced, and many levels feel more redundant than nostalgic. There are pipes and switches, acid and quick-growing weeds, nozzles and movable platforms. Despite the introduction of an overworld map and "locations" like the Soap Factory, every stage still takes place underground. When playing the first iteration of a level, veteran players will rarely encounter something new.Sprinkle Islands Review
Some series get better with age, often hitting their stride with the magical number "2." Mega Man 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat II, and so on. With the sequel, they can easily look at what worked in the first game, and improve upon it, refining it into a more polished follow-up.
