Ragdoll Blaster 3 Review
When it comes to the simple pleasures in life, I'm not sure it can get much simpler (or much enjoyable) than being the dude who lights the fuse on a human cannon. Ragdoll Blaster 3 captures this experience pretty perfectly, minus all the crippling injuries and horrible fatalities that would occur if I were doing this for real. In short, the game is… "a blast."Ragdoll Blaster 3 Preview
The last two Ragdoll Blaster games have proved that everybody loves shooting people (well, ok, ragdolls) out of cannons. Seriously, when are human cannonballs not fun to fire? Well get ready, because Backflip Studios is bringing us some more of the same action (albeit with some major improvements) with Ragdoll Blaster 3.Feed That Dragon Review
By Art Green
There is something oddly soothing and comforting about a game that sets up its own rules and variables, and then allows players to think through the effects logically (based on those rules and variables) to solves its puzzles. What is not so soothing is when a game sets up the rules and variables, and then fails to give you enough feedback or enough consistency for the game to be rewarding to play. Thus is the folly of Miniclip's Feed That Dragon.Tongue Tied Review
By Art Green
Even though it has been two years since it came out, iOS game developers are still chasing the model that Rovio laid down with their breakthrough hit, Angry Birds. Tongue Tied is a title that, while in an entirely different genre, owes much of its concept to Angry Birds and most definitely adds nothing new to an already mundane style of game.Monkey Quest: Thunderbow Review
By Tony Capri
Amidst the glut of Angry Birds wannabes, Monkey Quest: Thunderbow has hit the App Store backed by the power of Nickelodeon. Based on the publisher's free online adventure, Monkey Quest: Thunderbow sprinkles in a few new ingredients to a now exhausted physics formula.Tiny Places Review
By Jim Squires
Big Fish Games have made a big splash on the App Store in recent months, porting a huge number of their popular hidden object games to the iPad (and sometimes the iPhone, too). Despite this, though, they haven't really broken too much new ground when it comes to original, iOS-specific releases. And while Tiny Places is a very iOS-specific release, it doesn't really manage to buck this trend.Shoot the Apple Review
By Andy Chalk
Following closely in the path blazed by Angry Birds, Shoot the Apple is a physics-based puzzle game that starts off easy but grows increasingly difficult as players dig ever deeper into its many levels. But it lacks both the charm of the world's most famous object-flinger and its multi-layered complexity; it's an amusing but easily forgettable diversion that probably won't hold pride of place on the homescreen of anyone's mobile for very long.Inertia: Escape Velocity Review
It's tough work being an interstellar salvager. There's the long hours, the loneliness, and the fact that you're light years from home. On the other hand, there are some seriously cool sights to see and amazing things to find. The biggest threat, though, is getting marooned out in the middle of nowhere, which is what happens in Inertia: Escape Velocity. Thankfully, getting yourself out of trouble is a rewarding experience.
