The Lorax Review
By Art Green
Console games that are tied into movies generally fail for any number of reasons, the most notable of which is a very short development cycle. With the advent of mobile gaming, games based off movies finally have a medium where the short development cycle isn't necessarily as big of a hindrance. Unfortunately for The Lorax, a game by Miniclip.com that ties in with the Dr. Seuss movie that was recently in theaters, you're still getting the stunted, boring experience that you've come to expect from movie games.Saving Private Sheep 2 Preview

Last year, General Fleece and his herds of sheep fought back packs of marauding wolves in Saving Private Sheep, a physics-based puzzler for iOS. The wolves have all gone home, disgraced—but the canine appetite for mutton is insatiable. Now the foxes are on the move in Saving Private Sheep 2, and they're looking to make a snack out of General Sheepard (we see what you did there, Bulkypix) and his faithful rams and ewes.Peakour Review

Games, more than any other entertainment medium, thrive on the concept of the mascot. Mario. Sonic. Master Chief. Angry Birds. The list goes on. With Peakour, developers Gotta Pea are definitely shooting for creating the next mascot brand. It's a tough sell attempting that with a vegetable, and they definitely missed the mark in this regard—but thankfully they succeeded in creating an above average puzzler in the process, even if it doesn't necessarily do anything that mobile gamers haven't seen already.Triple Trouble Review
Ever wonder what would happen if you combined the animal-flinging physics of Angry Birds with the match-three gameplay of Bejewled? We hadn't either, but Triple Trouble (not to be confused with the Beastie Boys song) provides a unique, albeit imperfect, approach to this hypothetical matchup.Dojo Danger Preview

Dojos are peaceful, quiet structures wherein anyone from any race or culture can listen to the wisdom of a sensei and reflect on the Old Ways. Unless you're a zombie, of course. All members of the undead are barred from dojos, but once they invade, they're probably not going to leave quietly. In Dojo Danger for iOS, you employ physics and strategy to purge your ninja dojo of those vile, unclean zombies. On the flipside, you can also play as part of a zombie team that has to hustle ninja invaders out the dojo's door. Hey, the living dead needs peace and tranquility, too.Fibble Review
By David Oxford
The story of Fibble is one of a tiny alien whose spaceship is knocked off-course by a stray soda can floating through the cosmos (don't ask us how it got there). As the ship falls towards the planet below, the titular alien manages to eject his four crewmates to safety before crashing inside an Earthling home. Once he collects himself, Fibble sets out on a quest to explore the house's four rooms and reunite with his friends.Smash-a-Lot Preview

When playing Angry Birds, have you ever noticed that those danged pigs are pretty resilient? Seriously, you can bring down a ton of steel and concrete on their round heads, and they'll still be alive and smiling (yeah, sneer all you want, pigs--at least your piglets got squashed). Well, you'd better get your pig-slaying technique perfected by this summer, because Wicked Witch Software is ready to take you to the next level: using a catapult to crush an ornery dragon and his armored supporters.Peakour Preview

Gotta Pea LLC, arguably the most intriguingly-named game studio that's currently operating, announced its first iOS project today. The game, titled Peakour, is a physics-based puzzler that challenges you to work through 100 levels by re-arranging piles of junk. Yeah, when you dump trash out your car window, it doesn't just disappear. Little pea-sized kids turn all that garbage into their very own parkour paradise. And no, that's not an invitation to keep dumping.
