    Good news, OUYA fans! The Android-based console and Kickstarter darling looks to be right on track. 1,200 developer consoles have just shipped, meaning its creators have honored the release window that was laid out in the original campaign. In the midst of all these Kickstarter fears and concerns, it's nice to see a product that's coming along without any sort of visible snags or delays.

    Roy Bahat is leaving IGN to join Ouya as its chairman.  Julie Uhrman will remain CEO, which is a no-brainer, given that she raised $8 million for the concept of Ouya on Kickstarter.  That's a better track record than the last four CEO's of Yahoo!More interesting are the details that were revealed in the exclusive interview posted on VentureBeat.

    In what seems to be an attempt to deal with every piece of criticism the OUYA has received before their Kickstarter campaign is up, they've done it again. First, we saw them address an attack on OUYA's functionality with their announcement that they'd be compatible with OnLive. Now, they're combating the "nobody important will support the OUYA" claims with a pretty big partnership: Square Enix.
