MapleStory Adventures Review
MapleStory Adventures is a Facebook spinoff of the hit free-to-play MMO MapleStory, using a similar visual style. The main difference is that MapleStory Adventures is more of a straight single-player RPG on Facebook, using social elements in place of true multiplayer elements. The game launches festooned with traditional MMORPG elements like crafting, pets, and quests available in tweaked, Facebook-friendly form. The depth of content is almost unprecedented in Facebook gaming and sure to keep players clicking away at monsters for ages.

After being in closed beta to work out the kinks, Nexxon has announced that MapleStory Adventures -- the Facebook spin-off of MapleStory -- will be launching on the social network later today.

Long before the rise of gaming on Facebook, MapleStory proved that players would flock to a game they could play for free and support with optional purchases if they felt like it. MapleStory Adventures brings the original MapleStory's look and feel to Facebook with redesigned gameplay and an emphasis on social, rather than MMO, features. You begin as a level one n00b warrior or wizard and then begin punching monsters to level up, gathering up collectibles, and hiring friends to fight with you when you need a little help taking on the next boss.
