Sometimes I never know what to say in these opening sentences before we get to all of the awesome looking new iOS games that are headed to the App Store each week. But luckily, whenever I find myself at a real loss of things to say, I can always fall back on the new titles instead: because they're all usually so cool that they can easily speak for themselves! And you'll be happy to know that tonight's new releases look to be no different.

You may have noticed that we didn't exactly have a "New iOS Games Tonight" feature last week, and that's primarily because, well, there weren't really any new games that came out! Everyone needed a well-deserved holiday break for some fireworks and barbeque fun, but now that we've all gotten to take a breather from celebrating our respective home countries, it's time to get back to the new games once again!

There seems to be this constant debate in the gaming community lately, about sequels and spin-offs vs. brand-spanking new original ideas. Now while I'll certainly never turn down an intriguing-looking new IP to find my next favorite franchise, there's a very good reason why sequels have become so successful in the industry today: because we gamers just want more of all the great games we love!

Remember the days when our mobile phones had those archaic things called "buttons" on them, and tablets were nothing more than big old slates of stone that past civilizations used to etch little drawings in? Me neither. But I, for one, am glad that the world of mobile gaming has not only progressed in the kinds of devices we can own, but even more so in the wide variety of games that we can play on them now!

Ah, the week of E3! For many of us gamers, the Electronic Entertainment Expo is that magical time we patiently wait for each and every year, when all of those surprises and game announcements and sugarplums dance around in our heads. And even though we don't cover news about console game releases here on Gamezebo, we're still more than in the spirit of all the goodness that lies ahead for gaming in 2013. But now it's time to take our minds off of what's coming up at the end of the year, because there are also all sorts of exciting new games that are headed our way even sooner - tonight in fact!

Technology is a funny thing, isn't it? We depend on our smartphones and tablets these days for almost everything, and most of us probably couldn't even imagine living in a world without Facebook or Twitter anymore. But when technology doesn't work the way it should, I don't know if there's anything more frustrating in the world. Still, it will always be a give and take: if we didn't have technology, then we wouldn't have all of these awesome new games that are headed to the iOS App Store tonight!

I love my job as Assistant Editor here at Gamezebo, but that doesn't mean I've never wondered what my life might have been like had I chosen a different profession, such as an attorney or a bellboy. Well it looks like the new iOS games that are hitting the App Store tonight might just give us an idea of what these kinds of career paths would really entail, if we ever wanted to switch things up one day.

I don't know about you, but I tend to like a nice dose of action with my weekly helping of new mobile games. And judging from the look of tonight's new iOS releases, mobile gamers will have nothing short of all that fast-paced arcade bliss to keep us up at night.
