"The meat of the action is in the leagues, where a whole world of blood-thirsty strangers will be clawing their way to fortune and glory," One Man Left says. "Mostly just glory."

Ah, Stronghold. Back at the start of the millennium, this medieval real-time strategy game was an enjoyable pastime, thanks to a lengthy single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode for storming your friends' castles. More than ten years later, we have a freemium online multiplayer version of the game, and the majority of the visuals, soundtrack and core concepts are intact from the 2001 release.
Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes Preview
My own experiences with the Warhammer universe are limited at best. In fact, with the exception of one unopened copy of Blood Bowl, every bit of my Warhammer time has been spent in the futuristic world of 40K's Space Hulk and Death Angel rather than the fantasy world that presented in Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes. Still, with a love for mages and melee, how could one go wrong dabbling in such a fantasy world? It's with that spirit of adventure in mind that I recently spent some time in Wrath of Heroes' closed beta.
