Disney recruits Majesco to develop new Phineas and Ferb game
Despite shutting down their Boston offices only a couple days ago, Majesco is exhibiting their pluck by teaming up with Disney to develop a Phineas and Ferb game. Details are scarce (i.e.nonexistent), but one thing we know for certain is that the game will be released on consoles, gaming handhelds, smartphones, and tablets this August. And from the sounds of it, this will be the first of many Phineas and Ferb games from Majesco.
Majesco shuts down mobile/social branch Majesco Boston
Despite only being around for about a year and a half, Majesco Boston has been closed down. The studio was responsible for games like Legends of Loot and Sci-Fi Heroes, not to mention online football sim Quick Hit Football, the game which inspired Majesco to purchase the Quick Hit studio and turn them into Majesco Boston.
Zynga launches four new games, announces nine additional publishing partners
Zynga was hard at work last night, launching four new games on their Zynga.com platform and revealing publishing partnerships with nine new studios. The newly-launched games include Sava Transmedia's Rubber Tacos, RocketPlay's Sports Casino, Majesco's Mini Putt Park, and 50 Cubes' Fashion Designer. We'd heard about the partnerships with Majesco, 50 Cubes and Sava Transmedia during the Zynga Unleashed event back in June, but it wasn't until this week that they announced a publishing deal with RocketPlay, formerly known as Gamingo.
Zynga reveals a gang of new mobile and social partners
Hey, Zynga launched a new platform not that long ago. You probably already knew that, but did you know that they announced three new partners at their "Unleashed" event? They totally did! They also showed off five partners on the mobile side of things, whose games will be released via the "Zynga Partners for Mobile" program and under the "Zynga With Friends" umbrella. Long story short? Lots of cool new games on the way.
Parking Wars 2 coming from Area/Code and Majesco
Area/Code may have been scooped by Zynga and turned into Zynga New York, but the developer's next project, Parking Wars 2, will actually be published by Majesco.
