    The Temple Run series has been a runaway success, with Temple Run 2 being downloaded over twenty million times in its first four days of availability. It's no surprise then that there are pretenders to the throne. Pitfall, an ancestor without which Temple Run would never have existed, and even Sonic the Hedgehog have gotten into the third-person endless runner act.

    Reflecting on it after having put it down, Dropple is not all that different from games I've rated quite highly. Games that - in the formative days of the iOS landscape - represented all the wonderful novelty of mobile as a platform. And yet here, at the beginning of 2013, that fact represents not only a welcomed strength, but telling weakness for this recent Apple Editor's Pick. It's a pleasant, energetic distraction, sure - but like the central water droplet under the pressure of extreme heat, the fun factor here quickly evaporates under the weight of prolonged exposure.

    As a completionist, failing to reach the end of a game is the virtual equivalent of a punch to the gut. Try as I may, though, I haven't been able to finish The Icarus Box. I fought the good fight, but in the end its obtuse puzzle design bested me. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to type out that sentence - much less put it on the Internet.

    Few people can resist spewing a passionate opinion about the state of post-secondary education. On one hand, university students are suffering enormous debts and years-long workloads in order to procure degrees of negligible value. On the other hand, maybe it's not the worst idea to keep kids chained to a desk until they learn the difference between "a lot" and "alot." The Grading Game celebrates the wonderful and terrible (but mostly terrible) aspects of being a teaching assistant (TA) with a game that's unique, fun, and educational. That's right—it's possible to learn and have fun at the same time. Pinky swear.

    It's been a long wait for Android users, but after months of wading through phony apps claiming to be Temple Run, the real deal has finally arrived. As of this morning, Imangi Studios' Indiana Jones-meets-Canabalt endless runner is available as a free download on Google Play.

(Force = Mass x Acceleration) (henceforth known as "the game," because seriously...) is a spin-off of an award-winning PC game that welcomes you to the future... a future Boston, Massachusetts, that is, where the sport of B.A.S.E. jumping is now illegal and participating is just another way you can stick it to the man. Awesome... or is that supposed to be gnarly? It's been a while.

    The sign of a very good game is one that makes you say "just one more". The most addictive games in the industry all had this going for them: How many times have you said you would play just one more game of Modern Warfare? Civilization? Complete just one more quest in World of Warcraft? Temple Run might not have the deep gameplay appeal of those video game classics, but it has their addictive qualities in spades.
