    There are plenty of hidden object games that ask you to help solve crimes, but Amazing Heists - Dillinger asks you to commit one. Several, actually. You'll tag along with the infamous Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger as he and his crew do what they do best, but you'd better keep your eyes peeled. The Feds are hot on Dillinger's trail, and if John and the boys get pinched, they won't be seeing daylight for a very, very long time.

    Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand from HER Interactive is the sixth adventure from the classic series, now available as a download game. Once again Nancy sets off on an ordinary activity, an internship at a museum specializing in Mayan antiquities. And once again she finds herself elbow-deep in a mystery that only she can solve! The mystery itself is tame, but the puzzles are challenging and logical. It lacks the entertainment value of newer titles, but if you like exploring museums, you'll like the authentic detail here.

    One of my favorite trends in the casual gaming space is the fusion between hidden-object games ("HOGs") and adventure game-like puzzles, like Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst and Dream Chronicles: The Chosen Child. Last fall we also saw the debut of Alawar's first HOG, Magic Encyclopedia: First Story, an atmospheric hand-drawn puzzler that successfully merged these two game styles together -- despite some nagging technical bugs that marred its initial release.

Jewel Quest Mysteries 2: Trail of the Midnight sees Eva Witheby caught up in a new mystery far from home. Players will uncover relics in 20 different hidden object scene backgrounds, along with traditional jewel boards, new power-ups including Freeze Timer and Dragonfly Helpers, and new scrolling search screens that put you in the front seat of whizzing planes.
