    Burstly acquires TestFlight, launches TestFlight Live

    This week is the Game Developers Conference (GDC) out in San Francisco, so we're bracing for a whole rush of big stories to come out of the show this week. Well, the dam has officially broken, as we've just learned that Burstly has acquired iOS developer service TestFlight, and together the companies are launching TestFlight Live.

    When Far Cry burst onto the first person shooter PC scene, it brought with it hardware-crushing graphics capabilities, placing it as the de-facto benchmark software for anyone building a new gaming rig. The ridiculously good-looking game came from a new developer known as Crytek, and over the course of their next two games (Crysis and Crysis 2) they would continue to show people what PC hardware was possible of achieving. Far Cry and the Crysis games were all gritty, violent, bloody affairs that focused on dishing out major amounts of jaw-dropping scenics and brutal punishment, so it makes sense that their first game aimed for mobile platforms features an adorable alien known as Fibble. Wait...what?

    iSwifter to stream PC Games to mobile devices

    In some cool GDC week news, we've just learned that iSwifter is extending their cloud-based streaming platform to allow developers to bring PC game to iOS and Android devices. The company has been bringing Flash games to iOS since 2010, but have found a way to scale up their operation so that PC games can also make the jump with minimal fuss. iSwifter operates in a similar manner to OnLive and Gaikai, with the games running on iSwifter servers and players inputting commands on their device.
