Tower Town Review
In Tower Town, you are tasked with building a successful tower with either residential or commercial properties. You have the opportunity to build several different types of residences, from studio apartments to penthouse suites, and commercial properties, from flower shops to movie theatres. Variety is key in these types of games, and Tower Town definitely nails that aspect.
Fairway Fever Review
Fairway Fever is simple to explain: it's solitaire mixed with the Bejeweled Blitz formula. You have to match as many cards as possible with a one minute time limit. And there's a golf theme, for some reason. It may sound incredibly basic and derivative, but that doesn't stop it from being a good amount of mindless fun.
Road Trippin’ Review
Games can be designed around virtually anything, and this time around, Electronic Arts is creating one about road trips. The iOS app is entitled Road Trippin', and believe it or not, it's actually a bit of an educational game. Most closely resembling the social game genre in terms of its mechanics, the game tasks players with traveling around the United States and visiting hundreds of different cities in the process.
CastleVille Review
CastleVille isn't the kind of release that will revolutionize social gaming. It doesn't remake the wheel or have any crazy ambitious concepts. It's a game that sits firmly in the framework already established by games like FrontierVille and Ravenskye City. But thanks to some subtle but very welcome tweaks and arguably the best visual and audio experience on Facebook, it's still a great game. It may not be the most original, but it's definitely one of the best.
Blood & Glory Review
The term "freemium" is all too easily associated with simple click management games like FarmVille, CityVille, and the like. At the end of the day, freemium is really nothing more than an innovative pricing structure that lets players dabble in games at no cost, only spending money on the titles they really love. It's a formula that can just as easily be applied to hardcore action titles as it can to the latest restaurant simulation. Glu seems to think so too, and they're proving it with Blood & Glory - an Infinity Blade play-a-like that you can download for the low low price of free.

Hemp Tycoon Review
Farming social games have been around for a good while now, but the folks over at Adult Swim Games are looking to stylize the genre a bit with the rather bizarre Hemp Tycoon. Though games in which players grow marijuana have been done before, with apps like Pot Farm and Weeds Social Club, this new release focuses more on the business aspect, rather than avoiding the police. It's also the first game in which players get to be a talking pot leaf.
The Oregon Trail: American Settler Review
Let's get something out of the way right up front: The Oregon Trail: American Settler is a cookie cutter copy of Zynga's Frontierville. Now that we've acknowledged that, there are a few other things we should acknowledge too. Like the fact that the game was developed by Gameloft, one of the few companies that can somehow simultaneously clone a game and yet make it better. Or the fact that by adding The Oregon Trail license, they've managed to steer an existing franchise into a sensible new direction.
