Breakout: Boost Review
Brick-breaking games have been around for years now, and there are plenty of them to choose from on the App Store. But if you want to follow the genre to its roots, you'll have to go all the way back to Atari's 1976 arcade game Breakout. That very same company is now revisiting the series 35 years later with Breakout: Boost. Sadly, though, not much has changed in 35 years.

Any game with the word "farm" in the title is one that certainly has an uphill battle to fight, but Farm Kingdom does a fairly decent of setting itself apart. Your typical farming simulation game, it contains many of the nuances of the genre but builds on them with more involved mechanics, crafting, and a generally more expansive virtual space from which to work within.

One of the top developers of free-to-play iOS games, Backflip Studios, has graced the masses with yet another bane on productivity, Paper Toss 2.0. Successor to the absurdly popular Paper Toss, the new iteration contains all the mechanics of the original and couples them with several new game modes, items, and a few extras. As enjoyable as the first, the complaints to be had are minimal at worst.

Shooting gallery games have had something of a weird history on the iPhone. We had our hearts broken when we realized that Metal Gear Solid Touch was one, were thrilled when Overkill was one, and were pretty satisfied with EPOCH was one. Now Glu Games is looking to try their hand at the genre, with the upcoming release of Frontline Commando.
Tap Zoo 2: World Tour Review
The insanely popular iOS game Tap Zoo just got a sequel in the form of Tap Zoo 2: World Tour, courtesy of Pocket Gems. Allowing players to expand their virtual zoos even further, the game comes with a host of new animals, features, and visual upgrades. That said, the core of the game is really no different than the original, but considering the overbearing popularity of the Tap Zoo name, such is probably not something worth changing anyway.
Jewel Story Review
There's really no way of getting around the fact that Jewel Story is Puzzle Quest on Facebook. Which means that it's a fairly generic fantasy role playing game where the combat has been replaced with a turn-based version of Bejeweled. It may not do anything particularly new with the formula but, aside from a few niggling little issues, it's a solid and enjoyable way to get your match-3 RPG fix.
