A sports management game with moderate active play, the app is all about running a successful cricket franchise. Nevertheless, it's a design that is strikingly familiar. I'm a proud member of the original Magic: The Gathering generation. In fact, I've still got my original deck sitting around here somewhere, with its (incredibly dated) powerhouse cards like The Abyss, Vesuvian Dopplegangers, and a beat-up Black Lotus. As a result, I was really interested to try out Magic: The Gathering - Tactics, which promised an experience that's both simultaneously familiar and new. After spending some time with the game, I have to say that it's certainly not bad, but it's not nearly as much fun as I remember the original card game being.
Robot Unicorn Attack Evolution Review
When Robot Unicorn Attack hit the internet a few years back, it was the kind of complete silliness that we couldn't get enough of. An endless runner at its core not all that dissimilar to Canabalt, players controlled a horned horse automaton with a rainbow for a mane. And this pretty pony loved to collect butterflies and smash into stars, all while listening to Erasure's "Always." Like we said - complete silliness.

If context and substance are what you're looking for, then DarkOrbit will immediately dull your interest. Without so much as a hint of plot to nudge players along, the game throws a laundry list of quests before you, along with an overcrowded screen full of features that are either poorly explained or not explained at all. When your first reaction as a player is to run off to the game's forums for help, it's a clear indication that not all is well in the universe.

If there's a single aspect of American football that most viewers can enjoy regardless of whether they know what a quarterback actually does, it's those frantic seconds when a return-man catches the ball and makes a mad dash for the goal line. Those movie-worthy moments take center stage in ESPN's new Return Man for Facebook, which punts all of the statistic heavy complexities of other social football-based games in favor of a riveting experience that feels something like Frogger with shoulder pads. The result is a football game that appeals to almost everyone.

The formula is based on gem-matching favorites such as Magnetica and Zuma, but the balance, level of challenge, and well-designed power-ups make this one of the most enjoyable installments currently available on Facebook.
Spice Invaders Review
I know what you're thinking, yet another tower-defense game. And as much I'd love to report that Spice Invaders (you've got to love that homage) brings something new and innovative to the table, the truth is, the game is as old-school as it gets. That being said, publisher Chillingo has filled the package with some great features not often seen in iOS TD games, which help to give legs to this particular adventure.
