Farm Up Review
Farm Up is set in the 1930s, which may be the oddest time setting for a farming game imaginable. This was the age of the miserable Joads of the Grapes of Wrath, a host of failed government aid efforts, and Dorothea Lange's portraits of weather-beaten Okies fleeing the Dust Bowl. All in all, it was a time of hardship and tears that forever changed the face of rural America.
Horse Haven Review
Horse Haven would seem to be a no-brainer when it comes to constructing a successful Facebook game, combining the virtual pet mechanics of raising and breeding favorite animals with farm sim elements of growing crops and managing livestock. Even better, Horse Haven focuses the whole thing around raising, breeding, and working horses. The basic idea is that you move from a starter horse to obtaining better horses, and then breeding new horses to increase your ranch's size and replace older horses that are retired "over the rainbow."

Magic Tree Review
Magic Tree is something you don't see quite so often as you used to, even on iOS: a pretty straightforward farm sim. It includes some gameplay elements borrowed straight from Frontierville, like erecting buildings and following a loose sequence of events as you develop your territory, but at heart it's not too different from the slew of half Farmville, half Harvest Moon farm game clones that spewed onto Asian social networks and mobile phones years ago. What Magic Tree has over those earlier clones is a solid localization and a far more attractive presentation.
