EA digital sales expected to overtake physical in 2013
By Joe Jasko
There's no denying the rise of digital gaming these days. With last month's reveal of Sony's PlayStation 4, we saw a huge emphasis on digital downloads and streaming capabilities, with instant downloads of games and other nifty cyber features. But now we have some real numbers from one of gaming's biggest retail publishers to reinforce the fact that digital gaming is here to stay. SuperData Research is reporting that Electronic Arts' digital revenue is expected to overtake their physical game sales by the end of 2013, which would be a first for one of the big retail video game publishers.Real Racing 3 updates, free-to-play formula tweaked
By Dant Rambo
After being available just five days in locations like New Zealand and Australia, Real Racing 3 has been updated to include less wait times and freemium hooks. The change was made in response to several negative reviews on the game's App Store page, nearly all of which are complaints about its perceived abuse of the free-to-play model.Zynga and EA bury the legal hatchet with settlement

Zynga and EA have reached a settlement in their ongoing lawsuit, Inside Social Games is reporting. For those who don't recall (it began half a year ago, after all), the impetus for this legal battle was EA's belief that Zynga stole several concepts from The Sims Social for use in The Ville. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is available now on Google Play
If you're an Android owner and a Simpsons fan, odds are you missed out on last summer's The Simpsons: Tapped Out when it launched on iOS. Fortunately, after months of excruciating torture, those of us who favor Android gaming are in luck—Tapped Out is now available on Google Play! Were President Obama’s inauguration speech one massive Scrabble move, he’d have scored 238 points

The universe is a strange, unpredictable place. I could list a billion reasons for this, but I'll focus instead on one of the major ones: everyone, everywhere is playing a massive game of Scrabble. You're probably as surprised as I was when I first found out, and I'm sure you have tons of questions. I can't help with that, but what I can do is tell you how well President Obama performed on this eternal Scrabble board during his second inauguration speech. With his frequent usage of ten dollar words like "liberty" and "equal," he scored a total of 238 points. And the President’s favorite app is…

Barack Obama doesn't have a ton of free time, what with being the President of the United States of America and all. But when he and First Lady Michelle Obama have a few excess minutes on their hands, they often turn to Scrabble for iOS. That in itself is nothing revelatory, but watching them lovingly bicker about it (video below) is nothing short of heartwarming.Christmas comes to The Sims FreePlay
By Dant Rambo
Fans of The Sims FreePlay (and I know there are a lot of you), rejoice! The game has just received a major update in honor of its one-year anniversary, ushering in a heap of new content -- some of which is Christmas-themed.The Simpsons: Tapped Out receives major holiday update
By Dant Rambo
Regardless of how you feel about The Simpsons these days, I think we can all agree the show knows how to celebrate the holidays. The annual Treehouse of Horror episodes are the most obvious example, but it would be foolish to dismiss the series' many heartwarming (and hilarious) Christmas episodes. If you've never had the pleasure of seeing one, or simply pine for as much festive content as you can get your mitten-covered hands on, you'll be pleased as Christmas punch to know that The Simpsons: Tapped Out has just received a holiday makeover.
