Everyone remembers their first SimCity. If you're a young whipper-snapper, you probably have fond memories of SimCity 4. 20-somethings spent countless hours of their youth on SimCity 3000, and most friends my age discovered the original SimCity when it hit the Super Nintendo in 1991. There are hundreds of religions and cultures on Earth, and most of them are at odds with one another about the true nature of the higher powers and/or laws that govern us (if any). There's one thing we can probably all agree on, though: It's not often that orders come directly from up on high, and as a result our species kind of stumbles around aimlessly. It would be nice if a heavenly voice commanded, "YOU—chop wood for an hour!" and then freed us up to goof off for the rest of the day. Fortunately, you can be that benevolent, laid-back god in Pocket Village for iOS.

I thought I could do it. It had been a while since I had fallen off the wagon. All the devices in my house were purged of Triple Town, and I hadn't been caught in public screaming about "ninja bears" for quite some time. So when Spry Fox released their newest game, Leap Day, in a browser beta, you have to believe me when I say that I genuinely thought I could just take a quick look…so you'll lend me the money for some extra crowns, right?
Green City Review
Green City is a building game similar to Build-a-lot 4: Power Source and Plan It Green that focuses on resource management while tasking you to rebuild an entire city. You've also got to keep an eye on the Earth, cleaning up the town's act so they stop tossing garbage out the windows. Mind that eco score while clearing out the rubbish and you just might make some progress!
Royal Story Review
When you hear the words "Royal Story," what do you think of? Tales of war and conquest? Grand courts populated by lords and ladies? Knights facing off against fire-breathing dragons? Good stuff, but Royal Story for Facebook doesn't offer any of that. It doesn't even offer much of a story, though its name suggests otherwise. You're basically looking at another resource-gathering freemium title that's admittedly solid, but unimaginative.
