The Smurfs & Co Review
By Alicia Ashby
Something about the Smurfs license is terribly friendly to social gaming, especially of the city-building variety. The Smurfs & Co takes more cues from FrontierVille than Capcom's Smurfs social game, Smurfs' Village, but actually manages to make the formula feel fresh, fun to play, and appropriate to the license. In The Smurfs & Co you've been tasked by Papa Smurf with building a new Smurf settlement as part of a complicated plot that involves making a magic potion to defeat Gargamel. For most of the game, though, you simply focus on trying to chop down weeds, build Smurfy buildings, and attract more Smurfs to your village.Gnome Town Review
If nothing else, Playdom's Gnome Town is notable for the absence of a feature. Yes, this is a Facebook game with no energy system, so you don't have to worry about ever running out. That alone makes the game worth a look, but thankfully there's a lot more to it. Gnome Town is an adventure filled with fantasy and mystery and more than a few clever ideas.Gnome Town Walkthrough
Gnome Town, developed by Playdom and played on Facebook, allows you to be the hero as you save the critters of the enchanted forest from the evil gnome. You will free the animals and build a town where you will all live together and prosper as you tend crops, run businesses, and explore hidden treasures in the forest. Gamezebo's quick start strategy guide will provide you with detailed images, tips, information, and hints on how to play your best game. The Smurfs & Co Preview
With a hit movie and top grossing iPhone game, it should be no surprise that the smurf phenomenon is now coming to Facebook as well. Ubisoft's The Smurfs & Co is a city builder much like its mobile counterpart, with equal amounts of nostalgic charm.Gnome Town Preview
When an evil gnome destroys your forest town, there's really no other option but to rebuild. And that's exactly what you'll be doing in Gnome Town, the latest Facebook release from Playdom. Just launched after a closed beta, Gnome Town tasks you with bringing the forest back to life by rescuing animals, clearing away debris, and building homes.Roman Empire Review
By Alicia Ashby
On Facebook, social strategy games based on the classic online game Travian have turned into a booming business for developers like Kabam. Roman Empire is iFree Studio's attempt to bring the formula mobile, where the format faces certain challenges. Mobile handsets generally can't offer quite as much screen real estate as the average PC screen, and strategy games frequently revolve around carefully arranging detailed building icons on a series of maps. Roman Empire has removed this aspect of these games entirely, in favor of an interface that is almost entirely text-only.Six Gun Galaxy Review
By Alicia Ashby
Most role-playing games on Facebook are called text RPGs because, while they do feature quests and loot, there's no real sense of exploring a fictional world. There are no in-game maps or locations to explore on even the most rudimentary level. Six Gun Galaxy's role-playing portion is, comparatively, a great leap forward. It introduces area maps to explore and a world map that connects the game's areas together in a logical, convenient way. You can also invest in building up your own village in Six Gun Galaxy, but this part of the game is less of a leap forward when compared to competitors.Roman Taxi Review
By Tony Capri
Roman Taxi aims to satisfy the gaming itch of folks tapped out of CityVille and other such Facebook favorites, but can this latest offering from Menue (Zombie Mosh) micro manage its way into your heart?
