The Tribez Review
By Alicia Ashby
The Tribez may sound like a civilization building game, but it's actually just a typical iOS city builder wearing a very elaborate, cleverly designed coat of paint. You play as someone from the modern day who finds a lost underwater civilization. Treated as a messiah figure by the villagers, you're roped into helping them develop their civilization, which means the usual CityVille-style grind of erecting buildings, leveling them up, collecting resources, and expanding your territory. Where The Tribez parts way with CityVille is in its philosophy toward social interaction and microtransactions.Citadel Arcanes Review
By Bryan Lufkin
We've all been there. At some point in our young lives, our fathers (who all may or may not be Dukes), task us with designing a kingdom using magical problem-solving skills. Old hat, right? It's a rite of passage, similar to babysitting a younger sibling once you're old enough, or cleaning the gutters once you're tall enough. Citadel Arcanes makes such a mundane ritual like becoming the Grand Architect of a Citadel an engaging quest, so much so that you often forget the fate of an entire kingdom rests squarely on your shoulders.Dreamtopia Walkthrough

It says a lot that I can stop playing mobile social games for about six months, come back, and immediately find myself playing a city-builder that feels almost indistinguishable from what I was playing a couple of years ago. That's not to say Dreamtopia is a bad game, because it isn't, but it's very much a game about giving an audience exactly what it expects. In Dreamtopia, you farm to gain resources that you then spend on building and customizing your own fantasy city.Enchanted Realm Walkthrough

How often have you played the game where you've imagined how different the world would be if someone from our time went back into history and began shaping the culture? Perhaps knowledge of how disease is transferred would have prevented the Plague, knowledge of the continents would have led to the discovery of America much sooner, and of course there's always the "what if you had stopped Hitler?" quotient. But what if you went back even further, to the time when humans were just discovering fire and figuring out how to use tools? You may just have the answer soon when The Tribez launches on iPad.
