Darkside Preview
Ever wondered what it would be like to pilot an Arklight x-52 in defense of a 200 year old mining operation in the asteroid belt? Me neither, but it looks like a lot of fun. That's the premise of Clockwork Pixels'Darkside, and as you can see from the trailer, defending asteroids against the onslaught of the Krainian Empire results in many colorful explosions.
Wolfdozer Preview
So there are these three pigs, right, and this one wolf with a hankering for bacon. The wolf says to the pig in the straw house, "Lemme in," and the pig says "Nuh-uh, homeslice," so the wolf blows down his house and gobbles him up. Ditto for the pig who built his house with pretzel sticks or whatever. Then the wolf says to the pig living in the brick house, "Let me in," and that pig says, "Nope.avi." So the wolf jumps in his bulldozer and flattens the house, along with the rest of Pigville. What, you've never heard that ending? Well, you can act it out with Wolfdozer for iOS.
Toybox Preview
There's plenty of merit to the idea of combining genres. The Puzzle Quest series, for example, cleverly fused role-playing and puzzle elements together, resulting in a hybrid that proved both addicting and original. Barrel of Donkeys' upcoming game Toybox for iOS is employing the same method, featuring components from both the shooter and "match 3" genres.

Remember that show Most Extreme Elimination Challenge? That Japanese game show where contestants would swing on ropes over pools of mud or run up hills while dodging giant foam boulders? Well imagine that show, except instead of mud pits there are electrified floor panels, and instead of giant foam boulders there are deadly robots that want to fill you full of holes. That's pretty much what Man in a Maze is... another major difference being it's a puzzle game in development for PC, Mac, iPad and iPhone, due out sometime this fall.
