Retro City Rampage Review
Strewn about the fictional city of Theftropolis are live cheat codes. They give you extraordinary powers, but also revoke your ability to save the game until you shut it down and return. Activating one for the first time is an experience all at once nostalgic and frustrating: two words which seem to encapsulate the earnest but bumpy ride through Retro City Rampage.
Super Bunny Breakout Review
If you're a twenty- or- thirty-something, then you've probably played Breakout. In fact, there's no way that you haven't played Breakout. The game was an arcade hit even before it was ported to every game console and computer known to humankind through the late '70s and early '80s. Crazy Taxi is a game that's always held a special place in my heart. When people talk about the frenzied, accessible gameplay of days gone by, my mind often goes to the days I'd plunk quarter after quarter into Crazy Taxi at the arcades. The first Paper Toss game was released in 2009, around the time the US economy started to smell like a carton of milk parked behind a furnace. The game simply involved pitching wads of paper into a wastebasket, but the quiet ring of phones and muted chatter of your digital co-workers in the background turned Paper Toss into a means of relieving work stress during a time when sneezing wrong could get you kicked out of your real-world job. The economy has since improved a little bit, but there are still reasons to lose yourself in slacker fantasies. Paper Toss Friends isn't very different from its predecessors, but it doesn't have to be. We'll never lose our inborn love for pitching trash with style.
