Boulder Dash-XL Preview
By Nadia Oxford
When the original Boulder Dash action-puzzle game hit computers and consoles in the early '80s, it was a smash hit. That's the good kind of "smash," mind you—not the kind that caves in an explorer's head. Boulder Dashstill challenges and fascinates retro puzzle fans, but even the classics need a bit of a spit-shine after a few decades. That's why HeroCraft is working on Boulder Dash-XL, an upgrade of the original for iOS.Nutty Fluffies Review
By Dant Rambo
Don't let Nutty Fluffies' adorable visuals or goofy name fool you: it's no easy game, and to expect otherwise would be a grave mistake. On the one hand, what else would you expect from Trials developer RedLynx? On the other, how on earth is a game about stuffed animals riding around in roller coasters so darn difficult?EEK! Preview

"EEK!" is an apt name for a game about space, especially a game about the things in space that want to smash you into oblivion. No, it's not enough that space detests you for being a living, breathing animal that likes things like regulated temperatures and equalized pressure: Space needs to make sure that it's throwing stuff at you for good measure.Wreck-it Ralph Review
By Eli Cymet
With Wreck-It Ralph for iOS and Android, Disney find themselves in a uniquely advantageous position. Unlike the plethora of big name tie-ins collecting dust on digital shelves, the source material here begs for adaptation. I mean, a movie that serves as a love letter to the arcade era? You think they'd be able to deliver one good game out of that. As it turns out, you'd be wrong. They deliver three.He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe Review
By Nadia Oxford
Kids that grew up in the '80s are a lucky bunch. Wherever we go, there's our childhood. He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe for iOS is another example of modern media feeding our pangs of nostalgia—not only through its title character, but also its side-scrolling hack-and-slash gameplay. Like the original cartoon, He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe is simple, but kind of compelling. It won't keep you engaged for hours, but neither will it make you sneer "Nyaaah!"in Space Review
By Nick Tylwalk
Starting off a review with a rhetorical question might be a little passe, but here's one anyway: Can a game be unabashedly retro yet forward thinking at the same time? Actually that might not be rhetorical, because in Space by the one-man indie shop Ysty Games qualifies on both counts. It's a quirky space shooter that marries a minimalist aesthetic with challenging and potentially unlimited gameplay, pretty much taking less is more to a whole new plane.Angry Heroes Online Review
By Mike Rose
Angry Heroes Online has some great art going for it, and it's been loaded with plenty of features and options to play around with. Yet, it doesn't do a very good job of disguising the fact that there really isn't… that much to do. You boot it up, you hit some static images to activate new quests, then you wait around to activate some more. I can see why these characters are angry.Bubble Galaxy With Buddies Review
By Leif Johnson
At this point, I think it's safe to assert that developers have ceased to make any meaningful stabs at innovation in the bubble popper genre; these days, achieving success involves little more than taking what works and refining it. The good news is that this approach appears to work spectacularly for Bubble Galaxies with Buddies. It pulls inspiration from Zynga's popular With Friends brand and meshes it together with the 60-second blitz template casual gamers have come to love. Let's just say the bubble on this market hasn't popped yet.
