There are many things that baffle me about Return to Castlerama, a 3D adventure game about a young herbalist's son who discovers his true noble identity and embarks on a quest to enact his own destiny. For one thing, the lack of features included in the game is pretty baffling. I'm also baffled why I even volunteered to review it in the first place. But the only thing more baffling to me is why somewhat felt a need to make this return to Castlerama (after the original Castlerama game from 2011), when one fleeting visit to this shoddy "photorealistic walk" is more than enough for any one lifetime.

Just because the name "Dracula" is in the title, don't discount Dracula 4: The Shadow of the Dragon as some hokey vampire game. Created by Microids, a studio with an impressive pedigree of adventure games under its belt like Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon and the Syberia series, this is an adventure for true adventure fans, complete with a well-told story and fantastic puzzles.
Spiral Episode 1 is an interesting new title from Pixel Hero Games, which combines adventure gaming with some light action. It's largely story-driven, set in a futuristic post-war city with a strong police presence enforcing curfews, controlling information, and getting on with all sorts of conspiracy-styled stuff.
If you had a stalker, and if one day this stalker told you he had hidden nine pieces of a treasure map in various places around the local National Park, then you'd probably want to find out just what the hell his deal was, right? Well so does the narrator and "misanthropic gamer" in Alone in the Park, a very low-key adventure game that functions more like a riveting visual novel than anything else. With sharp, succinct writing and lighthearted adventuring puzzles, this is one interactive experience that will weave its winding footsteps into your mind and stay there until every last inch of that park is explored.
The latest adventure game book from Tin Man Games, Fighting Fantasy: The Forest of Doom is a challenging, but not terribly sophisticated sword-swinging romp through the foreboding, monster-infested Darkwood Forest.
9th Dawn recalls an earlier era of CRPGs when Ultima and Wizardry were king. Its open exploration, freeform questing, and massive amounts of treasures to discover combine to create one of the most ambitious adventures available on mobile devices today. With classic gameplay balanced by modern updates, 9th Dawn is a sublime treat for both newcomers and nostalgic veterans of the genre.

Act I of Kentucky Route Zero introduced our protagonist, Conway, to the existence of the Zero and set him on a persistent path to find it.
