The Tribloos Review

Tribloos will come as a very pleasant surprise for anyone looking for an excellent time-management/building game. Don’t let the simplistic graphics turn you off. There is a lot more to this game than meets the eye, and it will definitely challenge you if you plan to master every level.

Despite its simplistic look, Tribloos is a fun, charming, and challenging time management game

Tribloos will come as a very pleasant surprise for anyone looking for an excellent time-management/building game. Don’t let the simplistic graphics turn you off. There is a lot more to this game than meets the eye, and it will definitely challenge you if you plan to master every level.

Tribloos is a building/time-management game. Your job is to help save the tribloos from a storm that has wreaked havoc on their villages. You will rescue tribloos who are stranded and help them rebuild their home.

The Tribloos

The gameplay in Tribloos is straightforward and easy to learn. You will need to strategize to excel though. There is a timer in the game, and if you complete a level in time you will earn a gold star for the level. Achieving gold on each level is not nearly as easy as it looks though.

There are a variety of tasks that will need to be performed in each level, and you will need to decide how to go about completing them. You start each level with five tribloos to help with building and resource collecting. Building houses will add five more tribloos to your crew. However, you will want to pay attention to the level requirements. If you don’t, you could easily find yourself unable to complete a level. This ability to get stuck adds a puzzle element to the game that is quite fun. There is always a way to complete the level, you just have to pay attention to the requirements and what is available to you.

Tribloos is incredibly addictive, especially if you are trying to get a gold star for each level. You will be replaying levels trying to figure out the best strategy to get the best time. You also earn achievements as you meet various goals, such as building a certain number of houses.

After you complete a village you will have a bonus round. This round is a collapse style game, where you will need to remove a certain number of resources from the board to build an item. It’s a nice break from the village building. Be sure to check what resources you’re looking for though…I didn’t the first time and spent quite a bit of time trying to clear the screen…oops!

The Tribloos

The graphics in Tribloos are very simple, and seem amateurish at first. After playing the game though, the style really works. You aren’t overwhelmed by scenery or special effects and you can really focus on the gameplay. The graphic style may not be for everyone, but don’t let it turn you off the game.

I definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a challenging time management game, but also to anyone who is looking for a fun and relaxing game that’s a little different. Tribloos will not disappoint you.
