REDMAGIC has done it again with the latest addition to their repertoire. The REDMAGIC 11 Pro is an outstanding bit of technology that fits in your pocket. Ideal for mobile gaming and for using as a genuine mobile phone, the 11 Pro is not only an upgrade from REDMAGIC’s previous phones, but it also features state-of-the-art tech that no other smartphone on the market has.

Keepin’ It Cool

The cooling system settings of the REDMAGIC 11 Pro, showcasing the options for the Cooling Fan and the Liquid Cooling.

That state-of-the-art tech I mentioned in the introduction? It’s the impressive AquaCore liquid cooling feature. AI server-grade liquid cooling is at your fingertips, making it the first mass-produced smartphone of its kind. Whether you have the Subzero or Nightfreeze variant, you can visibly see how the technology works from the back of the device. It’s quite mesmerising, to be honest!

The REDMAGIC 11 Pro is all about keeping itself cool whilst not skimping out on performance. With a 24,000 rpm waterproof fan, it’s the fastest in the industry by far. The same goes for the 13,166mm2 vapor chambers, making them the largest in the industry, too. For more intense games, you can opt to turn both the fan and the Liquid Cooling on, or one or the other. You can tailor the durability of the device depending on what you’re using it for.

I do play games that are heavy on the device’s system, and to test it out further I set the graphics to maximum. I tend to keep the fan and Liquid Cooling on to ensure the REDMAGIC 11 Pro does not overheat, and it works like a charm. For less intense games, I usually turn either the fan or the Liquid Cooling on. Either way, the performance is not hindered in the slightest.

Max Graphics, Maximum Gaming

When it comes to performance, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with a performance and efficiency boost to both its CPU and GPU, ensuring smooth gameplay and browsing. Ran out of battery? The device can be charged quickly, either wirelessly or wired, with 80W charging. You’ll be back to gaming in no time. The battery life of the 11 Pro lasts longer in general, so you won’t need to charge it as often either.

Thanks to the REDMAGIC RedCore R4, the Energy Cube 3.0, and the addition of Snapdragon Elite Gaming, performance-heavy cutscenes and battles run smoothly, with no disturbance to the device’s frame rates. I like to play my games on max graphics if I can, and I was able to do so with the REDMAGIC 11 Pro. My daily games on the device are Wuthering Waves, Love and Deepspace, and AFK Journey. As a long-time player of these titles, I can safely say that they’ve never looked or performed better than on this device. Max graphics, max performance.

Often, I forget to close games and applications, and I’ve found that I’ve had all three of these games open at the same time, without even noticing any dips in performance. Switching between apps is seamless, as you can have multiple games running in the background as you tab in and out. The device doesn’t stutter whilst doing this, so you can hop between apps as much as you want.

It’s smooth sailing with the 11 Pro, as it has a 144Hz Refresh Rate with next-generation touch control. No lagging found here! As you swipe across the screen, your touch is registered instantly, allowing for fluid interaction.

True-to-Life, Come Rain or Shine

The 6.85-inch screen itself is stunning, with a full AMOLED display, boasting 2688×1216 pixels and a 95.3% ratio between the screen and body. Widescreen gaming is truly at your fingertips. No matter the game you’re playing, the colours stand out. The 100% DCI-P3 Wide Colour Gamut promises true-to-life colours, making every game, video, and photo look better than ever. AFK Journey, for example, is an artistic and colourful game, and it looks totally vibrant on the device.

Games like Love and Deepspace and Wuthering Waves have some of the best graphics I’ve seen in mobile gaming, and my experience with both of these titles has improved significantly since using the REDMAGIC 11 Pro.

If you’re ever caught in the rain, you can rely on the wet-hand mode, which makes it easier to use your device even if the screen is wet. As you know, if a device is wet, it can sometimes register accidental touches or ignore your actual inputs. While I don’t usually take my devices out of my pocket or bag when walking outside in the rain, I appreciate this feature nonetheless.

In conclusion, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro is my go-to mobile gaming device now. It looks great, plays great, and performs excellently. It keeps up with my daily gaming routine as I switch between my favourite titles, and I haven’t noticed any issues at all, even with continuous daily usage.
