Worlds overrun with demons and dragons are a touch dangerous to live in, but they sure as heck make for great story fodder. That’s why Bioware is giving Dragon Age fans access to Dragon Age Keep, an web-based app that lets players shape their world and characters in preparation for Dragon Age Inquisition.

Even cooler, this is a web-based app that will work as smoothly on your smartphone and tablet as it well your desktop PC. It’s in open beta now. To use it, all you need to do is visit DragonAgeKeep.com and sign in using your Origin ID.

Once you have access to the app, you can set about molding your character and making choices that affect their history. While exploring Thedas, your avatar can rub shoulders with recognizable characters, and you can share your progress with your pals. You can, in other words, carve out a nice little life for yourself before the cataclysm that kicks off events in Dragon Age Inquisition rips everything apart.

Once released, your Dragon Age Keep data can be imported into Dragon Age: Inquisition to continue your story. Dragon Age: Inquisition comes to Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on November 18.
