We took a look at the PC original back in January (back in our earlier, non-mobile incarnation) and rightly considered it the first real contender for Game of the Year 2014. Now, 10 months later, it’s still very much on our short list.
In case you’re too lazy to read our The Banner Saga review, let me give you the reader’s digest version: it’s a turn-based strategy RPG set in the world of vikings, blending in an epic narrative and choice-based gameplay that actually matters; one wrong story decision and you might lose your favorite fighters for good.
It’s gorgeous, it’s addictive, it’s well-told, and it’s only the first chapter. If you haven’t had a chance to experience The Banner Saga before, be sure to do it now.
