It’s the middle of October. We’re deep into Fall. Everything smells like Pumpkin Spice and I have to rake the fallen leaves every 20 minutes. So yes, I’m seriously starting to miss Summer. Lucky for me, Plants vs Zombies 2 is looking to give us one more taste of sand and sun.

Big Wave Beach is the latest update to hit PvZ 2, taking players to the Beach Blanket Bingo days of the 1960’s. You’ll get a few new plant types – Lily Pads, Tangle Kelp and Bowling Bulbs – and a whole bunch of new zombies (yes, including surfers).

More importantly though, you’ll have a new challenge: water. When the tide comes in, it will leave nasty mermaid zombies in its wake.

The update is now live now. You can download Plants vs Zombies 2 for free from the App Store and Google Play, but to unlock Big Wave Beach Part 1 you’ll need a World Key (or $4.99).
