Peggle Blast is Out Now on iOS, Android

If you’re a fan of Peggle, you had to know this was coming eventually. With the success of free-to-play Peggle-alikes Papa Pear Saga, Super Monkey Ball Bounce, and more, we’re frankly surprised that it took this long for EA to give the genre progenitor a freemium spin.

After a rather lengthy soft-launch period in select markets, Peggle Blast is now available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play.

But is it fun? After dabbling with the first 15 levels, I’m inclined to say yes. There’s a good deal of variety in the objectives already, some sharp level design, and I haven’t been asked to spend any money… yet.

Of course, these impressions are just from the first 15 levels. Stay tuned for our full review and guide coming later this week.

Hate free-to-play? Worried that you won’t be able to play proper premium Peggle? Don’t worry: the original game lives on as Peggle Classic, a $0.99 download on iOS devices. (Sorry, Android gamers!)
