If you’re new to Gamezebo, you may not realize that there was a time when we were exclusively a casual games site for desktop gamers. We covered a lot of hidden object games in those days, and the vast majority of them were hosted on a little portal called Big Fish Games.

We slowly changed gears over the last few years to finally arrive at the mobile-only future we live in today. And if the latest move from Big Fish is any indication, I can’t help but wonder if that’s their end goal as well. The latest entry in the Mystery Case Files series – arguably their biggest in-house brand – is launching for PC, Mac and iOS in the same week.

Available starting today on desktops (and this Thursday on iOS), ‘Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove’ marks the first time we’ve seen Big Fish Games try to capture both audiences simultaneously.

When you look at the success they’ve seen on mobile, as well as the way that success has been referred to when news of their soon-to-be acquisition by Churchill Downs broke, I suppose it’s only natural that the company continues to grow their focus in that market.

But what about Android? Don’t worry: ‘Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove’ is coming. There’s no set date, but a representative from Big Fish Games has told Gamezebo that  they “will absolutely be providing Android versions.”

Stay tuned for our ‘Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove’ review later this week.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
