To describe Crossy Road as a phenomenon would be a grave understatement. Developer Hipster Whale recently confirmed that their debut game has seen 20 million installs in less than two months, and a million alone on the game’s first weekend on Google Play.

So how does an Australian developer celebrate such success? By bringing a little taste of Australia to the world. January 26th is Australia Day, and to commemorate their nation’s birthday, Hipster Whale have revealed that they’ll be adding Australian animals and environments to Crossy Road.

So which critters will we see join in the Crossy Road fun? While we’re assuming this list is incomplete (ie, no kangaroo), the game’s artist Ben Weatherall has been teasing out Australian-themed creations on Twitter over the last few weeks.

Bonus points for the Ute, Ben.
