Earlier this month, indie developer Moppin said that Downwell on Android was “pretty much done,” and now it’s pretty much here. If you’ve been waiting for this one, you can grab Downwell on Google Play now. If you haven’t been… have you not heard of Downwell yet?!?

Originally released last summer on the App Store and Steam, Downwell is an action game that has players descending down a cavern equipped only with a pair of boots. A pair of high-caliber, sometimes-rocket-firing boots. You can’t really aim, so much as you jump by shooting yourself upwards and continue to shoot until you touch the ground again. What you do in the air — and how you shoot your way from creature to creature — determines the depth at which you’ll manage to survive.

Despite being a new concept, Downwell has a fairly old school appeal. If you grew up on a healthy diet of 2D action games, this is a must have for your collection. There’s a reason we named it one of the best games of 2015.

Downwell is available on both Google Play and, should you have somehow missed it on your iPhone last summer, the App Store.
