If you happen to be male and aren't a pacifist, I don't need to explain the allure of driving a tank to you. For everyone else, let's just say that especially when it's not in the real world, there's just something cool about commanding several tons of metal, crushing things beneath your treads and blowing stuff up. World of Tanks lets you do all of that in 30-player tank battles on your PC - and it's free.
Wouldn't you know it, out of gas. As your car putters to a halt you arrive at the seemingly abandoned gates of Stoneville. Historically known for its active mining operations, the valuable gems unearthed here are collected by the Lady of the Mountain. But now this "Stone Queen" is on a vengeful streak, turning residents into stone left and right. Guess you'll have to put a stop to that!
Fallen: The Flowers of Evil starts with a simple vampire story, as a scared village has fallen victim to a beast of the night that leaves two recognizable marks on its victims' necks. As a seasoned doctor, you'll need to investigate these rumors of vampires and save a young girl's life before she too is lost.
When a band of 5 Avenger bombers took off from Fort Lauderdale on December 5, 1945 for routine navigation training, the fleet of 14 airmen were never seen again. Neither were the crew of 13 aboard the airboat sent to search for them. The area in which these unlucky servicemen vanished was later dubbed the Bermuda Triangle. Since, efforts have been made to locate wreckage, but no plane pulled from the ocean floor has yet to match the serial numbers of the lost aircraft.
As anyone who's ever seen a tomato driving a Ferrari knows, existential crises aren't exclusive to humans. They take place throughout the animal kingdom, and even occasionally crop up in vegetables (pun somewhat intended). But as Potatoman Seeks the Troof makes clear, it's anthropomorphic potatoes who have it the worst. I mean seriously, just try and put yourself in their starch-filled shoes. Wouldn't you struggle with finding a sense of purpose?
For as long as Game Freak's Pokemon games have been around, other game developers have been inspired to add their own spin on the monster-collecting formula. Some studios just ape the games directly by scribbling over Game Freak's designs with a crayon and calling it a day. Other studios, like Tremor Games, make a real effort to separate themselves from the clones with titles like Rawr. Rawr maintains its own identity with the help of an intriguing battle system and over-the-top grunginess, but its mechanics need some tightening up before it can even think about slaughtering Pikachu.
For better or worse, Legend of Pandora makes no bones about what it is: A Zelda clone. That in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, as a brush with the greatness that is Zelda helped pave the way for such fare as Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, and more recently, 3D Dot Game Heroes. Unfortunately, however, Legend of Pandora is none of these, nor does it approach them.
You got learning in my online gaming! Before you accuse me of the reverse and we end up in a Reese's style standoff, just know that either way could be used to describe Animal Jam. This kid-friendly multiplayer browser game definitely has an ulterior educational motive, but it's not out to cram anyone's head full of facts without first making sure they have some fun.
