Masters of Mystery: Crime of Fashion Review
Looking to curl up with a compelling hidden object game? You won't be disappointed in Big Blue Bubble's Masters of Mystery: Crime of Fashion, a story-driven puzzler with plenty of levels to play through, mini-games to master and interesting characters to interact with. You play as Carrie Chase, a detective who investigates the murder of a New York fashion designer. Carrie soon comes to the disturbing realization she's dealing with a serial killer out for more blood. The story, which plays out like an episode of CSI -- complete with forensics tools, lab analysis and deduction -- is quite good and with a few twists, too. Plus, the diverse characters you'll meet are memorable and many lines of dialogue are well-written.Haunted Hotel II: Believe the Lies Review
By Erin Bell
Of the dozens of hidden object games that Gamezebo reviewed in 2008, one that I definitely didn't expect to get a sequel was Haunted Hotel, a game that we panned for, among other things, poor English, lackluster graphics and numerous technical gaffes. Haunted Hotel II: Believe the Lies is an improvement, but is still hampered by various issues.Mercifully, the story this time around is presented in short sentences bolstered by fine-looking cutscenes, as opposed to the pages of error-riddled text and rudimentary sketches of the first game. That said, although the story's grammar is much improved, the plot is no easier to decipher.World Voyage Review
What if you could gather all of the world's most famous tourist attractions and put them together in one spot for you to watch for as long as you live? Wouldn't that be awesome? Well, in World Voyage, a match-3 adventure developed by Sahmon Games, you can do exactly that.Satisfashion Review
The problem with following fashion trends is that eventually everyone ends up looking more or less the same. This could also be said about game trends. Satisfashion is a fashion-themed time management game that's a lot like Jojo's Fashion Show, but with fewer clothing choices and a chance to do make-up.Lost Realms: Legacy of the Sun Princess Review
Lost Realms: Legacy of the Sun Princess is a standard hidden object game with great atmosphere and interesting characters. Unfortunately the graphics, while beautiful, don't suit the hidden object genre as wuite a few of the individual objects are small, dark, and blurry on many computer monitors.Strike Ball 3 Review
By David Stone
The brick-busting genre is one of gaming's oldest chestnuts, and this time Strike Ball 3 is up. The third game in the series from Russian developer Owl Games, Strike Ball 3 builds upon its predecessors very well. The original Strike Ball was a rudimentary 3D ball-breaker, but provided decent fun. The sequel, Strike Ball 2 was an enormous step up from the original that featured a slew of power-ups and great level design. It must be said that compared to the step up from the original to the sequel, Strike Ball 3 is less revolutionary compared to Strike Ball 2. However, the changes are very important, and fundamentally alter the gameplay. Can You See What I See? Dream Machine Review
By Erin Bell
My favorite part about the first Can You See What I See? game (which came out mid-2008) was that the beautiful hidden object scenes were made up of old-fashioned toys arranged in playful ways. The sequel, Can You See What I See? Dream Machine, captures some of the magic of the original but feels overall like just another run-of-the-mill HOG.Leeloo’s Talent Agency Review
If you've ever dreamed of a career in Hollywood, but don't fancy working as a waiter while you start, maybe working as a talent agent is a good idea. That's the premise of Leeloo's Talent Agency, a cute but simple time management and hidden object game that has you casting actors, doing make-up, and creating promotional material for up-and-coming stars.
