The Oil Blue Review
There's never been another game quite like The Oil Blue. This strategy sim revolves around the oil industry, primarily pumping, barrelling, and selling crude oil. This probably doesn't sound like your cup of tee; it -in fact- sounds like one of the dullest gameplay experiences ever. But it's not. It's lovely, it's unusual, and it's surprisingly enjoyable.Puzzle Dimension Review
By Keith Andrew
Games are a funny business. Pop down your local zoo and attempt to cram a load of monkeys in a series of perspex balls, and chances are you're going to raise more than a few eyebrows. Make such activities the subject of a game, however, and all of a sudden you've got a best-seller on your hands. The success of the aforementioned Super Monkey Ball has naturally lead to a number of clones, but Puzzle Dimension - despite obvious similarities - isn't one of them.Puzzle Agent Review
Telltale Games is best known for its episodic point and click adventure game series, like Tales of Monkey Island and Sam & Max. But with Puzzle Agent, the developer is going in a distinctly different direction. And that's a good thing. The game itself feels like a mashup of a David Lynch film and the Professor Layton games, with just enough quirky humor to make it feel like a Telltale production. It's short and somewhat simplistic, but Puzzle Agent provides a great atmosphere and a solid dose of brainteasing puzzles.Jack of All Worlds Review
By Chad Sapieha
John Wizard's latest RPG is a bit of a misfire. Jack of All Worlds sports the developers' trademark witty dialogue and strong production values, but it also has a peculiar, memory-based battle system, precious little in the way of character development, a hero we never really get to know, and an abrupt and unsatisfying ending.Word Power: The Green Revolution Review
By Mark Raby
As a collaboration between Reader's Digest and a development studio called Fit Brains, a company responsible for creating challenging "brain games," Word Power should be a challenging, informative game for all players. However, because of a poorly-constructed game design and a style of play that at times requires no creativity or skill, it is a game that becomes tedious in a very short amount of time.Wake Review
By Mike Rose
Awaking to find yourself at the bottom of a sinking freighter is the stuff nightmares are made of, which is why Boss Baddie's latest offering Wake is simply teeming with fear-driven tension. With water lashing at your feet and rising fast, you'll want to move towards the top of the ship post-haste.ColorCube Review
By Keith Andrew
It's with a hint of irony that the humble puzzler seems to be the one genre that has taken to 3D with the most ease. While Sonic and co. might spend their time running into walls thanks to the extra dimension, and players the world over regularly get confused and fire upon their teammates in shooter after shooter, titles like ColorCube make adapting to 3D gaming look a breeze.A Gypsy’s Tale Review
You are the title character in A Gypsy's Tale: The Tower of Secrets, and have been hired by a monk to rescue a young woman from mysterious tower. The tower is surrounded by a maze filled with puzzles, obstacles, and all manner of unusual characters, but the monk urges you to hurry. Odd, though, he won't tell you why this girl is so important - his reasoning is just one of the tower's many secrets.
